And how do you know Burstone is cheaper than Waterville Vet? Yeah it may be a little drive to get there but worth it. Waterville vet DO care about your pet and will go out of their way to treat them with loving care and attention.
Burrstone also refers to wampsville if they have a situation with Dr. Bookbinder(exc vet specialist )is needed. How many vets will refer out if a better expert is at Wampsville vet office ? Burrstone does. Will your vet?

the best animal hosp around is Wampsville Vet. I've bee all around here, and none of them compare to wampsville. a litle bit of a drive but well worth it. caring, reasonably priced, very knowledgeable, on call 24 hrs, and very attentive. can't ask for more than that. dr kerry brown is the best along with all the other staff out there, trust me!!! They get to the bottom of the animals problem without charging you an arm and a leg!! they don't beat around the bush, thats for sure! you can tell threy truly love animals, even if it is the pts animal.

They may NOT be the cheapest, but they are the best. The actual name is Village Vet in Wampsville. Dr Bookbinder is nextdoor and does specialty surgeries. The best ANYWHERE if your pet needs surgery.

I hate NHAH and I used to bring my one cat to Burrstone but the moron vet at Burrstone almost cost my cat his life. I asked him on a routine checkup why my cat of 2 years would all of a sudden start urinating in different areas of the house and he said it was normal behavior and not to worry. I knew something wasnt right because my cat was neutered and he had never urinated in the house in the 2 years of having him. A few weeks later I had my cat go into convulsions and I quickly rushed him to Paris Hill where my other cat goes only to find out he had a blockage in his urinary tract. The vet there said he was literally a hour away from dying but they brought him into emergency surgery and cleared the blockage,$700+ later he was well again. Had that dumbass at Burrstone asked me some simple questions or did some tests he would have found out that this particular cat needs to be on a special diet to avoid crystals in his urine.
That is truly pathetic. The condition you described is very common in cats, and any vet who doesn't know that a change in urination habits (along with nesting and some other signs) are one of the very first things to look for in this condition should have his license pulled. This is hardly a "call Dr. Gregory House of Veterinary Medicine" type of a condition.

Nothing compares to what ? NHAH ? Yeah nothing compares to their prices. A few o fthe girls are nice, but the policies suck. I brought my great-grandmother's dead dog there after she woke up and found her dead. All they cared about was how the bill was going to be paid. I flipped on them and they relented. "We're not supposed to do this without getting payment in full." Our family had been going there for YEARS, for cats & dogs and they treated us like we were just going to drop the family member off and run away. What a bunch of jerks.

If you have your beloved pet cremated, PLEASE go to a humane society. Not only is it much cheaper, you are helping the homeless animals with that money instead of in the vets pockets.

"Dog", i meant that you get what you pay for in that Wampsville Vet may not be the cheapest, but you get what u pay for. By far, Dr. Kerry Brown and his staff are the best, hands down. I agree NHAH is only out for the money!! People have said this over and over again. they all can't be lieing!!NHAH sucks, end of story!

Im pretty sure it was one of the Owners/Vets that told me that his urinating was normal. Dont get me wrong besides that ignorant Vet Burrstone has great receptionists and the other vets I saw throughout the place were very nice to speak with but like someone said he shouldve been able to spot that or test for it just off the symptoms I told him. I bring him to Paris Hill now but I can agree with what some people have said that PHAH is a little on the money grubbing side but not near as bad as NHAH.

yes, kerry brown at village vet in wampsville is excellent. everyone has always been very pleasant, concerned, and not just out for every penney that they can queeze out of you. everyone should give them a try, i'm sure they'd stay.2 yrs ago i took my dog to NHAH. if i would have kept going there, my dog would be dead, that's for sure. they kept us coming and going for months. finally, i had enough and went to kerry brown. within 2 visits, and some blood work they discovered that she had Myocitis. she is now doing fine, thanks to at village vet.
Yup, when I lived there that was take only place I would take my dogs. I show and breed rottweilers and let me say hey are fantastic. Did all my OFA stuff, real good practice.

honestly, i have been a customer of NHAH for years. i was looking for another vet after dr. chmielewicz (sp?) LEFT ME A MESSAGE ON MY CELL PHONE that my cat had died. I will NEVER see that man again. That was heartless. I looked for another vet for my other pets, but then Dr. Nickel joined the group, and he is FANTASTIC. I would not see anyone other than him, if at all possible. He is the best thing that's ever happened to that practice. I will stay as a customer as long as Dr. Nickel stays on as a vet.

am sure the nh vet is a good vet ,put he is all about money a lot to do with the type goverment we have ,we have to over pay for everything because of taxs and cost of being self employed , being over charged for taxs, permits power, fuel, building ins, cost of having employees, ect but as comsumers we can shop around for services,

<quoted text> fyi---I did not say cheaper, but to save a little, not worth the drive. My friends dont love the lady vet. I know of wrong diagnosis by the son on several occasions also. The lady vet, Dr. Dempson also brilliant at Burrstone. Ask around and they are all extremely caring, they even bathe my dog for cheaper than the groomer, try them.
I have been taking my cat Himalayan) to Dr. Dennison (I call her Dr. Marthafor the past 11 years. She is extremely caring, absolutely brillant in her knowledge, and saved my cat's life a few months ago when she came down with a kidney infection. BTW - my cat is 19 years old and I give Dr. Martha most of the credit for her living as long as she has.

We took our saint bernard there when we first got him by the time we walked out it was allmost 820 dollars. We started having issues with him when he hit 2yo and they kept chargin n chargin telling us to put him down. Finally one of our friends suggessted burrstone they saw us that day n referred us to cornell. Turns out he has a behavior disorder which his doggie prozac takes care of n we save money by not replacing windows n doors. We go to burstone ever since
