Very impressed with the band. They play a great variety and the people always dance. I will say the drummer is the backbone that makes them drive

the drummer is the only one worth anything in that
band. He can play with anyone. Looks like he is there
for the money.

What exactly does that mean "he is there for the money"? I'm assuming anyone playing gigs like that is doing it because they enjoy playing music and because they are getting paid for their time and effort.

Do you go to work and agree to take none of the money? Do you tell them you are just there for the enjoyment of it.

But I do agree, he is the core of that group!

They play like four times a week, he just looks like, "oh the
same old $hit" all the time. If the money wasnt good, he
wouldnt be there. He could of played professionally somewhere.
Never saw a drummer like that. Someone like gridley paige or showtime should pick him up. his vocals are top notch. Is he
from utica?

Notably & arguably one of the most frequently booked bands in the area. Straight ahead guitar-bass-drums trio, recognizable tunes for the dancing masses, decent vocals x2, all members obviously content with their product. Nothing wrong with that.

They are o.k., that's about it. Bland vocals, but they are tight musically. Nothing to write home about.

They are a tight musical group with lots of experience. I enjoy their original tunes. Good cover song choices that'll get people moving. Vocals n harmony are good too.

I agree that the Drummer and Bass player are smokin players. I am very lucky to have players in the band like them. Someone said the drummer looks like he's playing for the money; money is part of it but when we are lighting it up as we do we are in it for the music. Most musicians will agree you take from the crowd, if they are sitting back it's hard to kick it but when they are jumping up and down, dancing youíll play your ass off (as we did this past weekend). Itís easy to judge other musicians on what and how they play, you canít make everybody happy. I am the singer/songwriter, lead & rhythm guitar player and sax player (I play the sax and guitar at the same time on a few songs) run the stage lights, run the vocal monitors, call out the next song we are going to play, sing harmony or lead (this is on every song we play) and I am very lucky to have these guys in the band and wouldnít change a thing. Come out and judge us for yourself, hope you have fun, dance, forget about all the bad things going on, but if you donít like our music its ok, there are many great bands around CNY.

I'm assuming all who posted negative comments know what it takes to produce a show. The easy part is getting up and playing. I can tell you from experience that most of the leg work is beyond comprehension to the average fan. I garuntee you Terry is woking 24/7 promoting the band, booking gigs, repairing or replacing equipment, practicing new songs, writing original music, loading, unloading & loading back up the equipment, negotiating and collecting the pay, preparing set lists, and just plain managing every aspect of the band. I believe every band has it's weaknesses and strenghts. It is the ability of a sucessful band to fill in the voids to produce a seamless finish product that the fans hear. When you look at the facts you see a passionate group of musicians, who provide an uptempo endless list of dance music that brings a faithful crowd everytime and anywhere they play. Thats what the client wants and thats why they're rebooked and playing two, three, and even four nights a week. Add in the fact they are only a three piece band and I think the whole finish product is astounding! My hats off to Terry, Pat and John who definately have my respect and admiration for what they do.

I respect anyone who has the guts to get up in front of other people and give it their best, but I also call it like I see it. Good for them that they play a lot and have a following and that they make people happy. With that being said, I think they are average at best, both individually and as a band. But in this area, there are so many "not so good" musicians and bands out there that "average at best" puts them a little bit higher on the scale.
And just remember that opinions are just that, opinions. Everybody is entitled to their own.

First of all I want to thank everyone for their opinion. That shows they are not afraid to speak their mind and I respect that. We as a band work very hard. We come to play and have a lot of fun. I know everyone has their taste and we take no offense to some who don't enjoy us. After all, we're not for everyone. I'm posting my comment for one main reason and that is terry Johnson. For those who especially know about the music business will really appreciate what I'm going to say. When u play in a three piece band, you need a guitar player who better fill it all in with leads and rythum. That is a very hard thing to do. Now not only does he do that well, but now you have to add the vocals from lead to harmonies which is a hard task to take on. May I add the mean sax he plays which I personally love to hear. Not only do I believe he is the most talented, I would like to share with everyone on how terry works everyday to make sure this band goes forward, he keeps all the equipment in order, he talks on the phone to big time people everyday. He keeps all of us in order if you will. His job is very busy and complicated at times and I don't know how he does it. Mind you, I'm not taking anything away from whoever had their down opinion on him I'm simply saying that the hard incredible work along with all his versatile talent he brings to the table is very appreciating and amazing. Not only is he a great friend, but an awesome family man with an understanding wife who supports him in all directions. Yes everyone likes to make money, but I can assure you that with that smoking bass player and terry doing everything else including writing all of our songs, I'm having a blast with this group. For those who enjoy I thank you. For the ones who don't I respect your opinions fully and thank you for your honesty. My hats off to terry Johnson and terry, thank you for having me

Excellent reply Drummer! I would never advise anyone to personally respond to anything on this site that was about them, but your post was worded very intelligently and respectfully which are both rarities on this site! Especially when considering the negative tone of the comments from some posters. I appreciate that you could reply in the manner that you did considering my post.

When all is said and done, the only opinions that matter are those of the band members and the people who enjoy their shows! Good luck to you and the band in the future!

You're welcome. Anyone who performs in any capacity must always remember that no matter what, there will always be someone who doesn't care for what you do. That doesn't mean that what you do isn't good, it just means that for whatever reason, some people may not enjoy it as much as others. That's the most important thing to remember. Keep on doing what you do, that's what it's all about!
Good luck with the band!
