Hanging with Brian in neighbor's garage while he changed his oil. Good times!

I actually lived in West Utica (across from Utica College) but I went to John F. Hughes (1965-1973). So my walk home took me past many of the places mentioned by others - Uptown Theater, Grand Union, Sunset Lanes, Gilmore Village, Murnane Field, National Auto (I got my first 10-speed from there).
My aunt and uncle lived on Woodlawn Ave. I remember Dick's Suprette and the place across Genessee Street with the old railroad caboose.
It was a great time and place to grow up in.
Anyone remember A&J Hobby House on Auburn Ave? I used to by model rockets there.

Was this considered a good touch or a bad touch?
