I feel bad for that poor older couple that owns The Patio Drive In. The son and his wife were running the place and I heard the parents threw them out and are now giving the place to their daughter who is nothing but an alcoholic. My neighbor told me him and his wife were there for a chili dog the other night and the daughter waited on them and she was drunk. That place has gone down hill in the past year. Maybe they should bring their son back before they are forced to close.

The father change the chili sauce and has made it hot and spicy, I tried it a few times and desided I would not eat there again because it's not the sauce that made that place...He ruined a good thing! Also the son and his wife are back in town!

Truth is the son and his scumbag wife are drug addicts and were running the place into the ground while the wife was skimming from the register and robbing the place blind to support her coke habit. The place was filled with miscreant drug dealers and lowlifes. Thank god (at least for us customers) that the parents came out of retirement kicked them all out and took control. It's unfair to blame the daughter for anything linked to the business. All the employees are dedicated hard workers and it would be a shame for a historic family run business to run into further hardship.

somethings not right here. I ate there in May and a very nice (heavy set) girl waited on me. We talked a bit. She said she and her boyfriend were getting married this November. He was the cook and she the waitress. Is this the same couple this post is about? She said she had worked there for years. I agree, the chili was aweful!! But this (Non Married Yet) couple were very nice and lived in Frankfort.

No they are good employees, not the son and daughter-in-law. The the son and daughter-in-law were kicked out a few months back along with the druggo rif raf they assoctaed with.

The place is not going out of business.

Recipe has not changed one bit since it was started. The taste may very slightly from who prepares it as does the mac salad.

You are kidding me right? I just had a chili dog there for lunch and the chili was all onions and franks hot sauce tasting. Where did you get taste buds from? Not what I remember the chili like.

dont worry, the board of health will be closing it down soon. The chili is made from pit bull meat.
