its a secret..let the news find out and tell the public..tell them to call Picente and request the truth, without having to file a FOIL. lowest paid county workers in the whole state, yet the BS they are put through. yes, herkimer, monroe, onondago; some of the neighboring counties with less people on assistance which equals a small caseload, then you have Oneida, with the biggest caseloads and the smallest salaries..so come on wktv, uticaod, find out the truth why its closed and what they are doing tomorrow to warrant it not being open. good night.

and the secret is out!! obviously its not being handled safely and everyone who works there is at risk. its in each floor that is being remodeled, which translates into its in the whole building. once disturbed, the health effects appear many years down the road.

oh, and seeing how they had to shut down the ventilation system, how much of the carcinogenic material floated through it and went to all the floors and is in the system now? shh, they don't think county workers are smart enough to know this stuff..wrong!

It's obvious that this is asbestos and the fact it continues to be called "debris" should be a cause for concern. It has gotten into the ducts and it's everywhere. Why beat around the bush? This County has zero concerns for its workers or residents.
The fact that it's been years now as they continue to renovate this building while it could of been torn down and rebuilt cheaper and far more quickly. I watch buildings go up in months here, yet the County Building is taking 10 years to fix? Something isn't right here.

They denied that there even was asbestos in the building for the first 25 years after the thing was built. Many many employees were exposed and may start showing signs of exposure soon. Who knows, maybe it's their way of controlling the pension crisis.
