These things look for the reflective paint of your plates. If you can stop the reflection it stops the readers from even "seeing" your plate and there goes their $40 thousand dollar toy. If you spray the plates with Testor's Dullcoat or Krylon flat "crystal clear" spraypaint with a thick coat it will kill the reflecting property but the plate looks the same to the naked eye. Not advocating illegal driving but some people need to put food on the table lol!
Sounds worth a try. Thanks.

Driving is not a right, it's a privilege. You are just another whiner who cries harassment for no reason.
Actually, that is incorrect, driving is not a "Privilege", regardless of what some may claim.-Driving is not reserved for people of privileged status, one only needs to be of age and pass a test and pay a fee to gain a drivers license. The criteria does not include or exclude to the point of meeting the definition of "Privilege".

Say it enough times and folks start to believe it's true.

License plate readers are a problem. They are money machines for the state of NJ. We were on our way home from the shore at about 10 pm at night when we happen on a road check with about 20 policeman lining the road in Atlantic County. They asked each car where were they coming from and whether they ad been drinking In the mean time our plates was being scanned. My daughters car was pulled from the line. My daughter had recently (1 Month before) paid for tickets and fines restored to have her license restored. Well she was pulled out of the line. NJ MVC showed her license was still suspended. So she was ticket for driving on a suspended license. They refused to look at the receipts she had in her glove compartment. The MVC computer was never updated. This is not the first time this happen to her. She has to pay the state a Surcharge for the next 3 years.

Here's a much easier, legal and lo-tech method. Never wash your license plates. They belong to the state, and you have no authorization from the state to clean or in any other way maintain or modify them. I haven't washed mine in two and a half years. It is completely unreadable and covered in a thick rime of dirt and motor oil. No one has ever stopped me for it. Also, take off your front plates. Mine was lost years ago.

The group of good officers is so small it is sad. I for one have lost all respect for them. The way they target the young people and old is sad. Those he least afford they go after.

Well all I can say is this guy who said who cares everyone should care regardless if your legal or not this is an invasion of privacy unless you don't care if communist take your ways of freedom from you Maybe then you will. As far as the stupidity of the court in siding with the police these fools say there is no expectantcy of privacy Well your license plate is private not everyone that sees your plate can look you up only the law enforcement agencies can therefore your information is private and should be treated as such and should have an expectancy of privacy. We need to get these people out of office that make these laws against the people for thier financial gain more plates ran means more tickets means more money. Take back the power give it back to the people. Good luck

But people aren't running up to us cops shouting like they was in the long haired hippie days, ya know? Yeah we locked up a lot of those protesters in those days... So like, we gotta generate revenue from a distance, alright? Then if I get you with overdue registration - I can get in your face like a drill sergeant - and if that makes ya nervous then it must mean your hiding a stash of aspirin up your colon! Yeah, so hows ya like dem apples, huh?

I applaud the murders of law enforcement personnel. These people choose power and pay the price. One cop' s death is another man's steak dinner in lieu of a ticket. You wanna play big boy cops n robbers? You made the choice to be a dicktard. No tears from me when I see the parade and hear the bagpipes
Well settle down you shouldn't applaud the death of good cops. There's plenty of bad one though and it doesn't break hearts when some kingpin offs a dirtbag fake cop. I detest bad cops and those who lie and abuse people. I may not want to kill any myself why waste my life on that kind of filth? I have no sympathy for the rotten ones though.

I love these systems.

Knowing how they work, you can completely take advantage of them.

Imagine, driving across a bridge. Plates are tagged. Park the car and leave your cell phone. Set it for auto answer, maybe with a recorded conversation that plays back. Take a different transport back. Do what you need to do. Call your phone while you're there. Take transport back. Drive the car back; tagged again.

Sweet. You were nowhere near the place. Proof is in the records.:D

Show me a cop that does't abuse their authority let alone on a daily basis and I will show you a good cop. Guess what they don't exist. Our Constitutional leaders knew the war we fought for independence an put the right to bear arms in the constitution, not for hunting, but to take back our county from our goverment if they get too corrupt. How many times have you heard our goverment saying you don't need that kind of gun for hunting? It's already starting and I wouldn't want to be a cop or politition anytime now or in the years to come. Don't underestimate the power of propiganda lol. It's only the TV cop shows that is keeping things a bay for now. Maybe those TV actor's are the good cops you are talking about? Sounds like it.
Now, why can't we have a blog without the copper's and ignorant keeping their mouth shut and changing the subject.

You can dangle short pieces of yarn from the lic plate holder. 1 to 3 pieces that are the same color as the font should make the text unscannable. I may have used this to blow through toll lanes  The plate would be clearly readable by humans but not cameras or readers.

45,000 times $100 a ticket - that's 4.5 million in revenue - got to keep those skids greased. Sacrifice schmacrifice!
