If you don't have plans this Saturday night, come out to Harts Hill Inn for dinner and a comedy show. I'm bringing in NYC headliner Donna East, who is very funny.
100% of the proceeds are going to the Rescue Mission. The Mission helps approximately 1,000 families in the greater Utica area with emergency shelter, food and other services.
For show information and to purchase tickets, please visit www.ComedyCentralny.com
Thank you for your support of one of our great local not-for-profits!

1. In Mr. Schmitt’s ¶10 he states that 203-205 Rutger Street “Is not a residence hall for inebriated individual, nor are felons and or drug dependent individual permitted residency. Those who are listed on the sexual offenders list are prohibited from entering” Dodge states in ¶6 that “Sex offenders (are) prohibited entry” and “Those who are listed on the sexual offenders list are prohibited from entering” the following directly contradict Mr. Schmitt’s and Rev. Dodge’s sworn statements:
a. Dodge’s prepared statement to the Zoning Board of Appeals presented on June 9, 2009 states,“throughout the Rescue Mission’s history, we have helped people who have been released from prison by offering shelter and rehabilitative Services. They may be homeless. They may be prone to drink or get high” Portion of Dodge’s prepared statement attached hereto and made part hereof as Exhibit “44”.
b. A search of the internet revealed that as early as 2003, the Rescue Mission was working in the prison re-entry field. A directory of national jail ministries list the Rescue Mission of Utica as a member. Directory listing attached hereto and made part hereof as Exhibit “45”
c. In an application to the New York State Department of Correction that I acquired through the Freedom of Information Act states the following:“The Rescue Mission is a multi-service agency at the forefront of housing and substance abuse services. As such we serve many ex-offenders, in general, and parolees, in particular”(emphasis added). It further states that “The Rescue Mission currently serves a significant numbers of ex-offenders. 22%(81 of 371) of the shelter seekers at the mission’s Emergency Housing Shelter in 2004 were released directly for(m) local correctional facilities” Portions of Rescue Mission’s RSP Program Application attached hereto and made part here of as Exhibit “46”.
d. The RSP Application states that Rescue Mission personnel have experience “with homeless individuals –over 20% of whom are direct releases from jail or prison, and another 20% of whom had been incarcerated in the past 4 year”
e. The same RSP Program Application that was signed by Rev. Dodge on July 28, 2005, states that “Sex offenders may be admitted on a case by case basis”
f. An internal memorandum sent on September 16, 2008 through the Rescue Mission’s email system from a Mr. Frank Lombardo to a Mr. Marty Lanigan clearly states that a sex offender named “Lenard Weather” was residing on site in the ACC for at least 21 days. Copy of email attached hereto and made part of as Exhibit “47”.
g. Several national data bases have shown that sex offenders had listed the Rescue Mission as their residency. Sex Offender resdency sheets attached hereto and made part of as Exhibit “48”.

h. Two news articles state that the Rescue Mission serves ex-offenders or felons contrary to Mr. Schmitt’s and Rev. Dodges sworn statements:
i. A news article published in the Observer-Dispatch on June 9, 2009 (Exhibit 42) and a news article publised June 1, 2009, in the Utica Daily News titled “FOILed documents reveal violent flony offenders participate in Rescue Mission program” attached hereto and made part of as Exhibit “49”, the Utica Daily News gives a breakdown of some of the felons severed at the Rescue Mission:
Murder in the second degree - 1 parolee,
Manslaughter in the first degree - 2 parolees,
Manslaughter in the second degree - 1 parolee,
Robbery in the first degree - 1 parolee,
Robbery in the second degree - 1 parolee,
Robbery in the third degree - 5 parolees,
Burglary in the first degree - 1 parolee,
Burglary in the second degree - 7 parolees,
Burglary in the third degree - 16 parolees,
Other Assault - 4 parolees,
Attempted Assault in the second degree - 2 parolees,
Other Coercive - 2 parolees,
Drug Sale - 5 parolees,
Drug Possession - 11 parolees,
Grand Larceny - 11 parolees, Forgery - 2 parolees,
Stolen Property - 2 parolees,
Driving While Intoxicated - 5 parolees,
All Other Felonies - 5 parolees,
Youth/Juvenile Offender - 4 parolees
2. Now that the community finally has been made aware of what is going on at the Rescue Mission, they all of a sudden claim they do not do this kind of work anymore (Dodge’s ¶ 4(i)); it’s just not believable based upon the facts.

The Rescue Mission does good work. Dodge is an arrogant jerk who has made the Rescue Mission look bad. People support the ministry because of the good work not because of the egomaniac.
#11 Feb 22, 2013
I agree. The Rescue Mission does do good. There are a lot of great people working for them and hard working volunteers.
#12 Feb 24, 2013
I see another good christian man has left the utica mission, Joe M. The REV will tell you he got a better job, but the truth is that he left because of the abuse, lies, and the arrogant leader Bill Dodge. The moral at the mission is ZERO among all the employee

Comedy show, save your money, the joke is the self serving Rev Dodge bilking all the donors and taxpayers out of their money. The rescue Mission used to help the needy, but now it only takes care of the top management. Beware of where you send your money.
