We are having a 2 day tryout for our 7th and 8th grade AAU teams. Tryout dates are set for Friday 6:30 - 8:00 at Rome Catholic School (Gym Entrance is in back of the school) and Saturday 2:30 to 4:00 at the Borza Rec Center 45 Seymour Lane Westmoreland. There will be a $20 tryout fee that will cover both sessions. All players must bring a copy of birth certificate and a progress report or report card from there current school. We will use AAU age restrictions so any 9th graders that have a late birthday after Sept 1st 1999 can also attend. We will have 2 8th grade teams a A level National team and a B level local team. We will only field 1 team for 7th grade. Everyone is encouraged to try out as there are different needs for each team. Rome Select strives on giving every player a equal opportunity with no Politics. Any questions check out our website at www.RomeSelectBasketball.com or contact our director Coach Rich

We have a few coaches moving around. Last year's 7th will be this year's 8th. We usually move up with the same kids. We had a couple vacancies that were filled in house which in turn opened up a couple spots.

Not sure what you mean? We will have 2 8th grade teams and 1 7th grade team. 7th grade looks very GOOD. PS not sure what you mean about clique? The 8th grade team has kids from all local schools.
