The new owner used to run Schallers Slaughter/Smoke House in Bridgewater.
I asked if he ever was in the pizza biz and he said that he knew a few Italians. WHAT?

y would they Lie? Just think of it who packs up moves to another country to open a pizzeria? They know nothing down there or where to get product. Let me guess they speak and understand the language now. Just think buddy puerto Rico. I can see maybe movin to another state yea but not another country.

Veronica was from puerto Rico And that is why they moved there. As for Anthony being Italian. The only think Italian about him is his name.

It's all true and I heard from someone who knows them personally that they wanted to leave because they didn't like the entire cny thing so they moved back down state. Really sucks because Anthony could make a mean pizza like no other around here.

My guess is they moved back downstate and Anthony probably told the girl who still works there that he's moving to Puerto Rico, because he's a smart ass. He probably figured, and if so he's right, that he doesn't have to tell anyone anything around here. He didn't like the fact that people from Upstate NY wouldn't put up with his rude demeanor. I don't know how Veronica puts up with his attitude, but I hope they're happy and I wish them the best. Yes, their pizza was good, but a plain slice was over $2.00. We still have plenty of good pizzeria's around (Charlie's, Oscugnizzo's, Venice, etc.).

Cannot understand how anyone could compare Charlie's crappy pizza to Antonella's. And "USPS" should go to Charlie's if he wants to see RUDE! Charlie is always screaming at the help and glaring at the customers! And his sauce is plain tomato sauce, no seasoning whatsoever! YUK!

Miss Anthony and Veronica for their good food, service and pleasant atmosphere. Going into the place now there is no welcoming feeling and the food really sucks!

6 months is being generous!

I agree with u pat Harris. Charlies isn't true NYC hand tossed pizza. You can't have NYC hand tossed with a convayor oven. U need a brick oven for that. Charlie is not good with customers at all.

Italian chef minds well close, the sexual abusers pizza was terrible(NYPD), ....Who knows, pizza around here is just ok, nothing great. Antonellas gave you the best taste unlike these others around.

Just what I thought....you're either Anthony, Veronica, one of their family members or just an idiot. There isn't one person in this entire city that would say Antonella's was our only good pizzeria. Also, to show you how fair I am, I've been inside of Antonella's since the new owners took over and I was disgusted. I never intend on stepping foot in that place again. Anthony and Veronica did a good job, but you lose credibility when you try to tell everyone that there are no good pizzeria's in Utica left. On the other hand, I should be happy you don't like the pizza from the good Pizzerias because you're one less person I have to wait behind in line.
