I just heard the brand new CNY Heat travel baseball team has information meetings scheduled in Mohawk & Rome. All baseball teams will play in enytb. It looks like another travel program option to local families.

why switch

question..we've been playing ripken ball here in Rome for a while now and there are established teams like pioneers and naturals that have proven longevity. why should anyone who has been happy with the past change to some unproven commodity. Seems a whole lot of kids took that path with another new venture last year and look how that turned out.

Give a decent reason anyone should switch from a proven success to more promises of success.

IMO if you are happy you should not switch. These new leagues are popping simply because there is a demand. For any new league there will be some who are not happy. This happens with anything new. But many are happy and will return. If you are happy with where you are at great, if not try another team. That simple. But one thing is for sure. Don't decide by what you read here on Utica Topix. This site only brings out the most negative in most topix. Ask around a bit more to get the real scoop.

Oh yes! And how quickly all of them will amount to anything but body odor, feces, wifebeating and a public servant job so they can "impress" themselves lol!.

"Monkey Hit Ball" doesn't get you an inch in upstate NY retards. Take heed or end up working in a prison or other menial job. Like your dads, uncles, brothers.... you know,,, the losers who can't work a screwdriver but were big "ball stars" you have dozens of examples of failure to see for yourself.

Hey, these prison guards make about 70k a year, some more with overtime, time off up the ass like you never seen, with sick, vacation etc, and great benefits. they do better than most people around here. I dont know why people here bash that job so much. It is a good job.

Sports kids never really get to far based upon their sports. This is all silly and a waste. What kind of parents do these kids have?

Parents that value exercise, teamwork, competition, meeting new people is the kind of parents these kids have. Why is it if you talk about sports on this site it is assumed you push your kid to hard and want them to be a star? Couldn't be further from the truth for 99% of the parents I know. You parents who bash sports and don't get your kids involved in something other that school, may have smart children, but also will have sheltered children who will not be able to exist in society.

Hi grumpy, I found you. Listen people, this grump puts down anything and everything in Upstate NY. I love him though because he keeps me on my toes. Have fun playing baseball and choose the best team "for you."
