For the worker's that dont stand around your getting paid to work, why doesn't any state workers comment about the ones that do, and make you all look bad?
why

Because there will always be lazy people in any job....cops,firemen,teachers, etc. You can't damn them all for a select few. Everyone knows someone who is a lousy worker.

Any supervisor that would allow a worker to just stand around and do nothing should be fired. That being said, you sound like you have knowledge of a particular incident and suggest you take it up with the proper management. It is workers like that that give the hard working guys a bad name.

No retard let's check YOURS! According to http://www.pensiontsunami.com/ they explain in DETAIL why you're all fucked no matter WHAT DiNapoli and Mario Cilento NYS AFL-CIO blows up your inflated asses.
<quoted text>No retard. My parents instilled me with a better more pragmatic path to wealth on my own work. Not someone else's. I maxed a masters under a dual major. I can take your retard test with my toe as can most of the people who never have to consider public servant leechism as a way of "life" Obviously you did.
<quoted text>Well asshole, I don't live in NY and rarely have to go there and BTW haven't been pulled over in 17 years. So go pretend some puffychest Tooper can bully me as they bully you but it's not happening. And IF they ever did get mouthy they'd get a call from God NY making sure they should shut the fuck up when you're aware of the resources and friends of the people who employ THEM.

PS, stats show state workers die at 67, private sector workers do far far better loser. So please continue to yell DUUURRRR DUUURRRRR DUUUR state leech and flap them lobster arms for effect more. It's hilarious!
There's no reason to use facts and truth with these people. They will just never understand. You must remember what's left there is certainly not the cream of the intellectual crop. Anyone with half a brain left years ago! And actually anyone with half a brain left NYS years ago. Luckily I have a great paying job which keeps me here...other than that this sh itty state would have been in my rear view mirror a long time ago! Lol

Cracks me up! Complain about state workers. No one is stopping you from getting off your butt and taking a civil service test to improve your life. But it's easier to sit behind your computer and complain about how bad your life is because others have it better. Makes it easier to play the victim and whine and moan instead of taking responsibility for yourself. So while you sit there whining about how much your life sucks, we'll be working nights and holidays, getting assaulted and cleaning crappy diapers, putting up with low life losers who want a hand out, plowing your roads at 3am on Christmas morning, making sure the bridge you drive across doesn't fall into a creek, being mandated to work a 16 hour shift no matter who's at home taking care of the kids, and yeah, getting decent pay and benefits for it. But sit behind your computer and whine small little man, for if your life sucks, you have only to look in the mirror to see why.
Its not worth trying to get a public sector job anymore you greedy sponges have depleted the funds and your about to loss your crazy benefits

Your brain washed or just thinking people are just stupid... Your pay is higher then the private sector and your pension is worth a million bucks, and you contribute zero to your retirement.the privet sector is paying you to come to work every day so that's all you deserve. The average non union worker retires with about 45 k in there retirement fund because they can't afford to save anymore then that due to the fact there funding your free pension.

Hey sparky, check your facts. Our retirement system is MORE than solvent. Did you ever take a civil service test? I'm guessing not. Do me a favor, next time you're pulled over by a NYS Trooper, feel free to enlighten him on your position on state employees. I'm sure he'd love to hear it. See, all you whiners and complainers are realizing how bad your screwed up in your younger years. Shoot for that Monday thru Friday 20 buck an hour manufacturing job and end up at Wally World, if your lucky, pulling in maybe 10 bucks an hour after the jobs dried up. Too bad you didn't have the foresight we did. Laugh at us for working off hours, weekends, holidays, forced overtime. But in the end it pays off. We stroll out at 55 (if you have the years, which I do) with a nice pension (which I need to stress again is VERY solvent) and lifetime medical. Hey, Sparky... have fun working till your 67, and maybe can pull in 2 years of Social Security before you check out.
Lastly, instead of complaining about what WE have, why aren't you asking your company why YOU don't? Guarantee your corporate guys aren't hurting or concerned with working till they're dead.
Your wrong check your facts the state pension fund is more then a billion dollars upside down, they have deferred the value of the fund many years out. So if they put the real numbers out taking the deferred pension on the books now you would see the the billion negative. This info was on the news a week ago.

I suggest you look at the salaries of the white collar NYS employees not the lowly DOT worker. Those numbers would make your head explode. A Secretary with 10 yrs makes over 60k. All salaries are online. Easy to complain about the boys making 30k....

Seriously? You want to go after NYS Dot workers? Are you kidding me? Do you know how much money these guys make? is 36k for 15 years of service too much? Cadillac pension? You are seriously mistaken. This site is all about complaining about how much/how little someone is making or someone is doing. If you are employed by NYS, City, Town..you are also paying taxes too. I support my family, pay my taxes and live within my means. I am not taking advantage of my employer. I give an honest day of work. If everyone did the same, this country would not be in the trouble it is now. Some of the comments that come from people are just so vile and disgusting. If you would not say it to someone then you should not type it either. Shame on you all.
Actually that's the old lie in action. You may "pay" taxes but you are in reality producing NOTHING but bullshit. There are people who produce into a state's economy, and then there's the TAKERS that just move it around. Your grasp of finance and economy is weak. See: Detroit. See: California. See NY! Shame on YOU!
Don't worry your union leaders and arrogant attitudes will give you denial.

Yes there should be these services that we pay for but the should be non union it would save the tax payers million or billions. Give me a good reason why they should be union workers. Your knowledge of the job is the same without the union!!! Stand up get rid of the union there just take your money with promises of a future that's failed. How will you feel when you retire and pay you dues for years to find out they can't keep there promise you thought you had coming. I know lots of privet sector union people jumping ship because the market can't afford to hire union companies to preform projects. So there going with private sector non union employers because of the stability of 40 hour work weeks unlike the other side giving them a few house hear and there when there lucky enough to get a project

Keep complaining about everything. It is always someone else's fault you are miserable. The unions suck, the governor sucks, the mayor sucks. Apparently the only thing that doesn't suck for you sorry a--holes is your wife....maybe if she did you wouldn't be such a complaining, whiny twit.
