($493,040) Mailshop and Printing
($24,786) List Rental
($6,198) Service Charges
How did this $772,194 help veterans?
Of $1.1 Million dollars only $55,020 was given out as food to veterans in need!
4.8% of the total money spent went to veterans
RICH YOU AND YOUR ORGANIZATION ARE EITHER A FRAUD OR MAJORLY INCOMPTENT

They fired him from the post office.
He didn't get along with anyone..I also hear he treated his volunteers like crap, nobody wanted to work with him. Even a lot of the vets!

This post seems cynically motivated to distract from the fact that Steve Elias of Utica Coffee Roasting doesn't want his business near an organization helping men and women who have served their country and the families of those veterans (who he refers to as "nefarious") who are having trouble financially and need food assistance. Rich Synek is a good man who just wants to help his fellow veterans.
From the Feed Our Vets website about the financials:
Based on Feed Our Vets’ last completed 2011 financials, about 59% of our expenses go towards fundraising costs, 4% toward administrative costs, and 37% toward program expenses. The main reason our fundraising expenses are currently at 59% is because Feed Our Vets has engaged in a new national direct mail fundraising campaign. We have chosen to begin this program so that we can get our message of fighting Veteran hunger out to a broader national audience, raise more funds long-term and expand our pantry system.
Because the direct mail program is a fairly new initiative for us, there are some significant up-front costs as we engage new supporters. The program is projected to level-out after a few years, and we expect our combined fundraising and administrative expenses to end up at around 20-30%, with 70-80% of monies going towards programs at that point.
if you haven’t seen this TED Talk by Dan Pallota already ( http://www.ted.com/talks/dan_pallotta_the_way... ), he makes a compelling case for us to think differently about how charities invest in their organizations through fundraising. From TED:
“Activist and fundraiser Dan Pallotta calls out the double standard that drives our broken relationship to charities. Too many nonprofits, he says, are rewarded for how little they spend — not for what they get done. Instead of equating frugality with morality, he asks us to start rewarding charities for their big goals and big accomplishments (even if that comes with big expenses). In this bold talk, he says: Let’s change the way we think about changing the world.”
In this spirit, Feed Our Vets long-term goal is to have a greater national impact on Veteran hunger. That’s why we’ve chosen to spend more on fundraising in the short term.

Boycott the coffee company for not respecting and appreciating our vets!

As the old saying goes, the devil is in the details. Your summary is vague at best in forming an opinion about an organization. It is clear you have no idea how to read a Form 990 and only take soundbite snapshots to further your agenda.
I actually took the time to look over the latest 990 posted for Feed Our Vets and your post is completely misleading.

Hey I no onger work. Do you think I could make the payments being unemployed. Of course the Toyota is paid for by Feed Our Vets donations. Are you people stupid?

Take the time to listen to this. The organization should be investigated by the Attorney General's Office.

The compensation paid to officers of the charity totals only $9,000, so stop the false accusations against the officers of enriching themselves.
The real sin is the expenses paid, which dwarfs the amount spent for the vets. Because of that, all the officers should be ousted. They obviously don't know how to effectively and efficiently run a charity.
#15 Apr 19, 2013
And also obvious is that you would not know the first thing about effectively and efficiently running a charity.
#16 Apr 19, 2013
I never claimed to know how to run a charity, moron. But I can read and understand the tax return of the charity, which you obviously cannot do.
#17 Apr 19, 2013
Ha, another lame statement. I work on Form 990's for several charities every year. Matter of fact, I have a meeting with our CPA next week!
It is completely obvious you cannot understand a tax return of a charity because a charity is NOT a taxable organization and DOES NOT file a tax return. They file what is called an INFORMATIONAL RETURN! Retard.
