The Endocrine Group on Washington Avenue in Albany is excellent. They are keeping many Type II diabetics alive and living relatively normal lives.

It depends what you need one for. Since you're going by the name Mommy, if I were to guess you were asking for your child and that child was diagnosed with diabetes, I highly recommend Joslin in Syracuse. I had the best doctor there when I was in my 20s but he moved to Wisconsin. Still-- they are the best. They have dieticians, nurse educators, and whatever else you need right there. They are state-of-the-art. I only stopped going there because my insurance stopped covering them and I got sick of the drive. I go to Aiello now for convenience's sake. He and his PA Reneille are really knowledgeable and they are getting more with the technology. And if that didn't apply to you, I hope it helps someone else.

If your condition is at all serious, definitely leave the area! I have heard such horror stories from so many people. One lady I knew eventually went to Boston for cancer treatment: they had to redo her MRIs because the ones in her medical file were "blurry." Another guy had cancer: they did his initial bloodwork wrong and inflated his level of cancer by a factor of ten; he had them redo the test -- which they refused to do -- because he educated himself on his disease.

This forum wasn't meant to be a joke like most of the others. The woman asking I am sure has a serious medical issue and that is why she was looking for advise on a good doctor. Go play with yourself.

Does anyone really expect to find legit medical advice here? There are so many other ways to find information that is important, why come here? This site is for entertainment purposes only. Read and laugh, but don't become grist for the mill.

If you'd paid attention to the question, she was simply asking if any knew of a good endocrinologist. Who ever said this site was for entertainment purposes only? I don't recall reading that when I signed up, does anyone else?
