Chicken riggie this, chicken riggie that. Who makes them the best? This restaurant, that restaurant, my aunt, my grandmother, even a Bosnian restaurant, or even a middle eastern restaurant, in Rome???? Well let's see who really knows where CHICKEN RIGATONI originated. I know, and I know I know, no matter who comes on here and says they know. When your all done thinking you know where and HOW they came about, I'll come back and tell!

Yes, I've been to other places. In fact, I was born and raised in a place other than Oneida County.
The reason you don't find them in downstate NY, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, Louisiana, Ohio or Indiana is because they suck and only CNY people eat them and think they are good.
Tomato pie - cold pizza, no cheese. What a celebration of taste!
Chicken Riggies - rigatoni pasta, add pieces of chicken - What a culinary delight!
No offense to the people in Virginia, South Carolina, Florida, Louisiana and even Indiana (I can't say about Ohio cause I've never been there lol) But specially down South. people think Sauce is watered down ketchup. So of course they wouldn't know about riggies. And just because you don't like them doesn't mean they suck. AS far as your opinion on Pizza pie. It's not just cold cheeseless pizza. it's PIE. and again it's your opinion that it's nasty. People who enjoy riggies or pizza pie don't lack culinary delight. They just like something different then you.

Its simple pasta. Only here in Oneida County can they "invent" pasta as their claim to fame. Of course, along with that totally awesome (can't you just taste the sarcasm?) tomato pie. ROFL
Let the negative judging begin. ROFL
You are correct. It's just a local recipe for chicken rigatoni and tomato pie was actually invented in New Jersey.
