Being called a "Redskin" is not part of any Tribal "Heritage". It is, and always was a derogatory term.I have been a Redskin fan all my life. Not one time have I ever thought of The term Redskin to be derogatory. The term Redskin to me means strong warrior. Someone that I want on my side during a fight. Just like the Oneida's during the revolutionary war.
If years ago your skin was red because you were outside hunting and fishing for your family is that such a bad thing?
If I'm a rancher out west should I be angry at Dallas for using the term cowboy?
Is the term Kansas City Chief ok?
If I'm Slavic should I be angry at the Vikings?
If I worked in a steel mill should I be angry at the Pittsburgh Steelers?
Be proud of your heritage.
Calling a Cowboy a Cowboy is in no way demeaning. That was an actual profession.
Perhaps you are too much of a simpleton to understand the difference.
BTW Wearing sports apparel anywhere but on the field makes you look like a huge douche.
