ttell me why the county leg got talked into a purchase of a computer costing almost a million dollars to track crime incidents and share them. I thought we already did share with other agencys . The system we already had which the state provided was NYSPIN last I heard. All police agencys were hooked into it since I last knew and it probably was even upgraded. Whats this new purchase and do the legislators only want to look like they are pro police and sign onto every gimmick that comes along for security . Was there a real need for this or did some good salesman come to upstate hicksviie and push this garbage. People ypour talking almost a million dollars for probably a duplication os a system we already get for free.from the state. AM I MISSING SOMETHING???

What another waste of taxpayer money. What are we on now horseback information exchange. This is another example of politicians and in this case the county board of legislators who know absolutely nothing about police work and approve this system. This is a duplication of what police have used for years. How do you think they share info now.And Dont tell me they Dont. When your stopped for something what do you think the cop is getting back on you when he goes back to his car and is talking into his mike or on the computer. They already used shared info.

they claim that many other agencys will be able to see the info like codes or fire.I got news for them ,this arrest info cannot be shared with non police anyways. How many untrained or nosey people do you want knowing criminal linfo on someone with no reason to use it other that a topix chant. And if this info isn't on a closed system such as a police network it will be hacked as the hackers have proven over and over.Where are our legislators brains up their assessssss. Imagine almost a million dollars for this junk that the New Hartford police don't even want a part of anyways.

They must have spent tens times this for that disgusting city of albany with all the infected crime.

With a crime rate of 52 per one thousand residents, Albany has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 19. Within New York, more than 98% of the communities have a lower crime rate than Albany.

Importantly, when you compare Albany to other communities of similar population, then Albany crime rate (violent and property crimes combined) is quite a bit higher than average. Regardless of how Albany does relative to all communities in America of all sizes, when NeighborhoodScout compared it to communities of similar population size, its crime rate per thousand residents stands out as higher than most.

The crime data that NeighborhoodScout used for this analysis are the seven offenses from the uniform crime reports, collected by the FBI from 17,000 local law enforcement agencies, and include both violent and property crimes, combined.

Then they need a special storage for all the rash cases.

These bums could have used the money to sit on there fat arses and played on topix.Seems like that spade is now on this site and spewing his anti white hate.He should have been aborted for the better of the human race. Why don't you move out of Oneida county for the good of the area. The sewage plant cant even handle your waste.

hey goof hardware or operating systems it way too much for what they will get. This was contrived so the bill is put onto the county s back and taken off the retarded small town backs. They first should consolidate all the smallvillage useless P.D.s and they would get a far better Cop who is supervised the right way and not running around like an idiot . They move back and forth between departments .supervision is lacking ,money is wasted on separate office maintainance, and the public suffers in the end. They think they will solve it by adding another information system. Will they have one installed at all the coffee shops and pizza shops so the can hang out there longer. Please I almost have to give up at times on this area. Such a throwback in time.

Ok GOOF, post every city an town, and each piece of hardware and SOFTWARE that each one will get, and what there cost will be for each, then you give us your welfare PC skills showing the garbage hardware you would buy and the playschool software, and the cost of each. So we can see what they'll save and how they can only use windows paint with your garbage. Also show us what mainframe centralized unit will be used, cost,, what the storage will be, the controllers, and server and cost of each.

We'll wait GOOF.

ey goof ,if they DID do some real consolidating of services they would get a real professional police dept with men and woman who stay with the department and gain experience, and there is real command of the men through a chain of command and not a bunch of cowboys running around with no control and doing as they please. The cowboys dont want a system like that . That would be too much like a real police department. Who controls their departments now ,the mayors who know nothing about police work. The chiefs are nothing but glorified patrolman under the politics of the village idiots. in the small townsThey have to call in the state police or sheriff to handle anything real. They might as well hire LB security to patrol the villages.

If the people in the small towns really knew what cost in insurance, gas retirement, vehicle maintainance, salaries, and a host of expenses the small police operation really cost them they would really want change. When are they going to wake up. You notice that Marcy doesnt have a PD and their taxes keep going down. . Half the time the locals are out of their village Zones drinking coffee with other small town village PDs ,no supervision. doing what they want. Lets say for example, what good is a Whitesboro cop doing for the good people of Whitesboro if he is hanging outside his villagedrinking coffee with his fellow friend in another village.. This goes on constantly and is tolerated and abused. Where is their supervision. This is a small example of the stupidity of all the small village waste of taxpayer monies. Then they come back into their respective villages and write a few tickets to make the mayors thing they are doing a good job

this county has a bad case of h e m m r o i d s. They should invest in preparation H. I mean really do they have to waste money on such computer foolishness. The root of the problem in this county is the disregard of the way the county hands out Welfare money that is bringing new york city and syracuse TRASH here.I really am going to pack up and leave this county as soon as possible . Why didn't you just post your a loser that knows nothing, instead of changing the subject so no body see's what a loser you are.

Make sure that p i g you fell out of never breeds again.
