<quoted text>You are partially right. Parkedge use to be a middle class Townhouse rentals but ever since the former Manager retired two years ago, the young man that replaced him has allowed an influx of Section 8 to move in. The majority of these Section 8 people are the blacks from Cornhill which includes the prostitutes, drug dealers and criminals - all who let their teenage kids run around the neighborhood late at night throwing rocks in windows and stealing from cars. I also heard that Candlewick is also allowing Section 8 rentals!!!!
Wait until Parkedge and Candlewick find out the costs of repairing the damages these people do and unable to collect back rents is not worth all the trouble of renting to these types of people.
UPD is trying their best to keep down the vandalism by questioning anyone they see walking the streets at night. Other than these two apartment and Townhouse projects, the rest of the homes in N. Utica are owner occupied by people that keep their kids inside their homes once it turns dark which helps to reduce the amount of vandalism and thefts.
No, no, no. You forgot to mention Julians "Sunnyside" motels. We understand that he's renting to the County. There are homeless, 1/2 way houses, domestic violence, ppl getting out of prison w/nowhere to live. These are some of the parties living there. Don't believe it? Take a ride down Herkimer Rd & watch what walks down the street to Nice n Sleezy sometime! We're sick over it. Our home is going up for sale in the spring. We're outta this state!!!

Keep changing your name, Nana(or Longtime Utican). You're not fooling anyone into believing that there is more than one person with your ignorant, snobbish and racist views. Everyone can still tell by the way you post that it's you!!!

And try to remember what I said before......those of us that live in the REAL nice parts of this area look at you N. Uticans the same way that you look at those from Cornhill. You're nothing but trash, Nana!!!

"get a life" - Thank you - There are lots of really nice areas in Utica and I hope they stay that way.

My neighborhood is not the best, but most of my neighbors own their homes, and the area is starting to look better. It's all about having the funds to make the needed improvements.

It took years to beat certain areas down, and it'll take years to build them back up.

You're welcome. The thing that "Nana"(AKA "Longtime Utican", or "been there")doesn't understand, and never will, is that it isn't where you live that determines your quality of character. It's the way you think and act toward other people. She thinks that living in a nice neighborhood(even though most of us recognize that N. Utica is not the upscale suburb that she tries to portray it as, it's just an average lower-middle class area)automatically makes her better than someone from a less quality neighborhood.

The reality that she can't see, due to her narcissistic blinders, is that she, with her ignorance, false elitism, and cheap racist views, is the one who is truly low-class trash!!!

There are nice and affordable contemporary apartments there, plenty of hot single women, clean air, and its close to the thruway, restaurants, hotels, shopping, a college, etc. What is so appealing about New Hartford and Clinton? Those places are stuffy, boring and overrated...North Utica is where it's at! More young singles should move to North Utica and make it the next Albany or Syracuse.
