House Majority Leader Eric Cantor lost a primary tonight 55-44 against a conservative that was outspent 200k to 5 million. Huge win for conservatives and a message that the establishment and their entitled attitudes are simply not working.

Hanna continues to think he's entitled to the position because he's a millionaire and just because he's Richard Hanna. Well, Cantor has the same polling firm as Hanna and they had Cantor up by 34 points. He LOST!!!

Hanna, it's too late. You have shown that your refusal to debate or engage the voters in our basic democracy is arrogance at its worst. It's not about you, it's about the people. And conservatives are ready to give you your walking papers on primary day. Maybe you should have stopped crying and started debating. Too late now.

Hanna has called Republicans "extremists" and that women should donate their money to the Democrats. Has Hanna ever said anything similar about Democrats? NO!

I heard the hanna intervievs lately and he SOUNDS worried and is starting to ramble on like Eddie hanna did when he got worked up. Tenney seems to be hitting a nerve. Sometimes its good to have a person like Tenney come along to slam the do nothing family and friends.Hope she wins and the tea party shakes up the republicans. They deserve it as they let the tea party into the system ,now they must deal with them.

The President traded five murderous senior Talban commanders for a probable American deserter. He didn't even notify Congress as required by law.

Question: Has Hanna weighed in on this? What does Hanna think about it, if anything?
Is this the kind of leadership we need from our congressman? Is Hanna even engaged in what is going on in the world?

Why does Rich Hanna need the backing of a Washington based, radical gay rights billionaire to fund his negative attack ads?

Why does the billionaire gay rights guy say Tenney "isn't conservative enough" while Hanna proudly runs as a far left liberal?

It doesn't make sense and the whole bizarre mess has turned me into a former Hanna supporter.

There are about 6 people who favor Tenney over Hanna, and they keep posting under different monikers. I know that this area is a little backward, but, not nearly ready yet for
the Tea Party thoughtless, toothless voters found in that part of Va.
The primary will be the last word about Tenney. She will also lose her Assembly seat in the Nov election, for whatever that is worth. That seat couldn't matter a tinkers dam in the big picture.

I agree. Tenney's only interest in the Tea Party are the votes. She could give a rat's azz about people's constitutional rights and will step on them if it gets her to her self-serving goals. She's all BS. She voted democrat Sheldon Silver's way 89% of the time as an azz-kissing attempt after throwing him under the bus. I'm sure the halls of the assembly in Albany are a bit warm for her these days.

First Hanna calls Republicans extremists, then he tells women to give their money to Democrats, then he calls fellow Republican Tenny a liar, and now he is calling rank and file Republican voters "thoughtless, toothless" rednecks. Wow! As a Republican, that gets me all juiced up to vote for Hanna!

How come all we hear from Hanna is negative name calling. How come no one can provide a positive reason why Republicans should vote for Hanna?

In all seriousness, how can Hanna not be worried after this? Conversely, the Tenney camp must be reenergized!!

She should be. Hanna's mail flyers say he is more conservative then Tenney yet he loves to brag about how liberal he is. Who is the real Hanna? Hanna hasn't denied that he is ready to switch to the Democratic party.

He did weigh in. He said he thought the trade was a mistake. From what I've read both he and Tenney have identical opinions.

I know I'm just an ordinary citizen unaffiliated with your two pissing camps,(and that's really all you people care about, not the average citizen) but let's say Tenneys side gets mot people out to vote and she ekes out a win.

Would Hanna be on any other ballot lines? Because if so, with no Dem in the race, this wouldn't necessarily be over. Winning the primary doesn't necessarily put her in Congress. But it would make a race even nastier than this one.

I've never heard him brag about how liberal he is. Can you cite a source where we can see a quote?

I have heard him say that he votes his conscience and for things he believes benefit his constituents rather than just voting with his party.

Ms. Tenney's website says this:
"Rated 3rd MOST LIBERAL Republican in Washington by The National Journal"

Mr. Hanna's website says this:
"Richard is rated the third most conservative New York representative in Congress by the American Conservative Union more conservative than the other 24 Republicans and Democrats in our state.(American Conservative Union, 2013 Ratings of Congress)"

Which is true? The only way to really know is to look at the record. the complete record and not just cherry picked tidbits. I know, I know. That takes time and effort. It's easier to just parrot what you've heard.

Hanna did not call ALL Republicans extremists. He said he was disappointed in the way that the current powers in the Republican Party seem to cater so much to the far right extreme of the party. Good government and legislation rely on compromise. When any party caters to those at the extremes thee can be no compromise. The best answers most often are in the middle and not at the extremes. That was his point in saying what he said. If you have a quote from a reliable source that would indicate something different bring it on.

Hanna supports the ERA. At an ERA rally he said women should support the party that supports them most. Here's the exact quote. This is from the blog that Ms. Tenney cites on her website:
"I'll tell you this: Contribute your money to people who speak out on your behalf, because the other side -- my side -- has a lot of it. And you need to send your own message. You need to remind people that you vote, you matter, and that they can't succeed without your help."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/22/rich...

He was advocating for women's rights. He's a woman's rights advocate. Is that a bad thing?

Why do you people continually parrot these half-truths without providing context. Oh, wait. I know why. Because if you add the context the meaning changes and it doesn't make him look as unreasonable as you would like.

Apparently neither has a 2nd line, the primary is for "all the marbles". The winner goes to the General Election in November unopposed!!
