Why is it that people with a college education seem to think that they are better then people who don't have a college education? I don't think there is a difference. And i think that its totally over rated. Just because someone doesn't have college backing them, doesn't mean they are stupid. Ive met people who have grad degrees who are stupid as hell., and G.E.D prom queens that are on point.

In many situations there is a difference between one with a degree and one without, but the most important is when applying for a job. A prospective employer wants a degree today plain and simple.

I agree 100% with you, a degree does not make you smart or better than another and the lack of one does not make you stupid or subservient to another. The fact is our primary education system is so overloaded and understaffed students today do not receive the attention they deserve and many are passed just to move them out.

In this generation and those ahead of us education is going to be the studentís responsibility to learn versus being taught properly. Parents should teach their children to take accountability for their own level of learning (i.e. even though they can slack off and pass they should dedicate themselves to learning) achieve and gain as much as they can and continue education past high school. A college degree, 4 year minimum, gives one an advantage in a highly competitive arena.

Unfortunately you canít change human nature and there will be those who think theyíre superior and act mean regardless of their educational level. I encourage you to go back to school, itís well worth it and with todayís online leaning environment thereís no reason not to seek a degree.

We all learn throughout life and have a second chance at mistakes. I obtained my degree in my 30ís.

Good god. Its not about being better, its about learning how to be a critical thinker and having the tools to question and understand the world around you.
How can you not know where you are going in life if you do not know where the world has been?

I used to think i was a fairly well rounded thinker until i attended college.

Higher education is great for everyone and we as humans never stop learning.
