City receives grant to help fix deteriorated streets
According to Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi, the grant is separate from the $120,095 the city received earlier this year as part of the state budget.

It is a drop in the bucket but the $2 million as left out of the budget this year even though a referendum mandating that amount was passed by the voters of Utica a few years back.
It was just another of the reasons that the mayor sounded so foolish when he announced a surplus earlier this year.
Not much meaningful paving can be done with a quarter million dollars. I'm guessing we'll see a lot of pickup trucks filled with cold patch to be shoveled into potholes and the mess left by the water authority.

Utica really does suck, I was once proud of it here but now it is an embarrasment.
