Typical Utica teacher. "Shut up and don't let anyone know how good we have it !!!"
So, it seems to me that you think the kids don't care to learn. That makes your job even EASIER...dummy.
. Great response. You can read and write. Thank a teacher. In English, thank a soldier.

Exactly. Wy do you think they fight charter schools so vehemently. Teachers and administrators know they will have success and more and more student will go there, causing more layoffs for the teachers leeching off the public dime.
Why dont you teachers have some integrity and admit that you teach for yourself and to support your lifestyle. You dont teach because of some divine calling. Its a paycheck. A damn good one, especially in this area.
I would like to see you "Waste waste waste" say something like that to the face of 'Ed Show' host Schultz for his mother was a public school teacher!!

So you depend on the opinion of someone inside the system for your opinion rather than an objective viewing of the facts. How many Walmart workers are convinced that they could run the company better. Do you think that's true though? My insight comes from my experience and the reasearch I've done on this subject. I welcome you to post information that you feel would sway me. More bad language too I see. Are you able to present a coherent thought without vulgar language? Is that something you use at home and encourage your children to use? Just curious.
If you have school age children then maybe you should review the facts regarding educational outcome and the US's ranking in education when compared with the rest of the world. The days when a high school gradute could get a job at the factory where dad worked, work 40 years and get a pension are gone. Education is more important than ever in this competetive global economy. The truth is that countries that we once though inferior are having our lunch and the root of the problem is public education. Unlike the vast majority of other things, in education the compensation is not based on performance, merit and results. Instead teachers/administrators get tenure and are protected from the market forces that drive everything else. I don't tell anyone else what to say or think so I won't say you should be worried for your children's future. I'll just say that I worry about the future of mine.
Legalized abortion has contributed more to manufacturing dying out in this country than a global economy "Truth"!

Old teachers

These old teachers need to go. They're miserable, call in constantly, do not follow rules or regulations (since they've been doing it their way for ever), get away with pretty much anything, and are still there because they want more money toward retirement. As if they're not making enough. Meanwhile, the ones on the bottom get laidoff and most likely do a better job! If you are almost 70, please go! You are a waste of tax payers money, and our children aren't learning much since you are burn out. Also, administrators that are barely alive at this point need to go too! With the money they make and can not even spend, the district can save jobs and hire better qualified teachers. This place is a mess. Utica politics are the worst!

The original post talks about laying off administrators rather than teachers. I agree. Get rid of that Lori E...she is worthless, mean, nasty, rude, ugly inside and especially out, and worthless....oh I think I already said that.
