PAR Rome Gets $85 Million Contract

Congressman Richard Hanna last week announced that the Pentagon has awarded a three-year,$85 million contract to PAR Government Systems Corporation in Rome. It is the largest contract in the company's history.

PAR will provide advanced Full Motion Video (FMV), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) related software and hardware technologies that will aid our nation’s warfighters in collecting battlefield intelligence and analysis.

“This new technology will give our warfighters the capabilities to maintain a competitive information edge on the battlefield,” Congressman Hanna said. “PAR Government continues to prove itself as a recognized leader in the industry as its high caliber workforce develops and administers innovative products that are essential to our nation’s 21st century defenses. I am pleased that the Department of Defense recognizes PAR’s quality workforce and has awarded them with this historic contract to provide the technology needed to succeed in battle while keeping our men and women in uniform as safe as possible.”

Cool. Too bad they had to license the brainwork from Mass and won't spend anything beyond 15% in the area like always.
