My point wasn't that pizza would be so much cheaper to make personally but that you could make it to your own taste very easily. It isn't rocket science. Thus, no complaining or badmouthing local businesspeople.
While my three kids attended local schools and each played three sports I went through about 300 pounds of flour every year from Sept to the following April for about 8 years running.
That's a lot of dough for a man to process in a home kitchen.
Not all of it was for pizza.
I also made bagels, sausage rolls, garlic knots and every day when they got off the school bus there was fresh Italian bread.
We existed on carbs and are skinny as pencils.
I had a commercial Hobart Scale and also a Toledo Scale From Chicago Markets hanging in my kitchen.
Everytime I checked the dough made from my recipe it consistently weighed two pounds.
Tomorrow I will make my recipe which I haven't made in a while and check it on my new electronic digital scale.
I'm alone now so I'll make a 12 inch pie and have 1 pound left for pizza fritta Saturday morning. I can't wait.
I'll let you know the results....Honestly
you are talking in circles, you stated that the reason you posted this was because everytime you see a sign saying pizza and so many wings for 34.95 you cringe.....

Sweetheart,
Whether it's my age or the fact that I've been putting the finishing touches on a lodge in the Town of Webb and my brain may have frozen, I sincerely apologize for talking in circles. I noticed you replied to my response in the middle of a Friday afternoon.
You are either home with your period or you and your sorority sisters are primping and getting ready to go out on the town.
I, my dear am enjoying a Don Carlos cigar, a bottle of my own 2000 Zinfandel aged for two years in French oak and am watching a blazing fire while I prepare Osso Buco for myself.
Tomorrow I leave for Tuscany.
When I return in September I would be happy to continue this conversation.
I will now return this Ipad to my grandson who is visiting from med school.
Ciao

So what's your point anyway? I don't see you contributing much but noise here.

Your a moron, you have no clue what you are talking about. You ramble on. You try to act like you are smarter and better than everyone else. Where in Tuscany are you going. Tuscany is not a city, town or village, it's a region.

Utica rubes have dozens of words and sayings you can tell they couldn't spell or write just by the way they pronounce them! You can tell they've never done anything but sit around talking! Very good observation!

It is obvious the dude is smarter than you. Is it against the law to travel to a region and not a city, town or village? Next you'll be telling us how much more beautiful Port Chester or Puerto Rico is than Tuscany. Let's just hope he brings back some good pizza recipes.

me and my wife went to pizza boys last week to bring pizza to my in laws and we got 2 "large" pizzas with toppings and 50 wings and it came to over 60 bucks which is okay but the "large" pizzas were barely the size of a medium and when i called and questioned if they gave us the wrong pizzas they were very rude and touchy, they were "larges" but they were only 13 inches across which is not what a large is, a large is 16 to 18 inches, so from now on its Johns in marcy or Capri in oriskany for me
