It's Cuomo's fault he stole all our plows and left us with broken plows. He sent them to Staten Island.

Yeah I'm sure it's his fault some people don't know how to drive. How many other accidents were there in HP this year? Haven't read about any. I'm sure they'll just let you poor people drive around in a broken plow.

Guess she should be held responsible when a kid gets knocked up at a H.S. Dance, or does drugs... It was a tragic TRAGIC accident... That would be like blaming people who eat meat for the accident. If no one ate meat the cattle truck wouldnt of been on the rad? Cmon. This is ridiculous. Blaming the Supt. is not the answer. Should the parents of let an inexperienced driver on hazardous roads. The HP Bus is afforded to all children. They could have taken the bus. It was an accident. Tragic... Thoughts and prayers to the family.

I didn't know the extent of the accident. I apologize for that. But to blame Cuomo, as the other poster did was ridiculous. I should've just stated that and moved on. I'll say a prayer for her as well.

And if a bus full of students was the vehicle involved, what would you say? That very well could have happened.

a 16 yr old was killed on his way to school, while his older brother drove, they lost control on pretty slipprey roads and were hit by a cattle truck, but I agree with you you cant blame the super, shes a NUT who we in W'boro were GLAD TO GET RID OF, however hardly ANY schools in the immediate are were NOT closed but HP have been in the past few storms so what is the point of the orginal post????? maybe they are upset because of their loss, or a kid in the school who wanted the day off.. who knows

Really..........playing hardass......come on.......how many times do you tell your kids to drive carefully. As a parent, if the weather is really bad, you tell them to stay home, you drive them yourself, you tell them to take the bus to school. Superintendents do not supercede your rights as a parent. If the kids were not chronic absent students from school, staying home due to inclement weather would not be a problem. How about all the other kids who drove and made it to school okay.

Perhaps there is more to the accident than just bad weather? I don't know but please quit blaming the superintendent of schools. They made the best judgment call they can for the good of the whole school district.

Do you really believe if there wasn't school that day, the kids would have stayed home and not gone out someplace in a car? Really........It was a tragedy with a young, inexperienced driver........an accident........stop the hating......

What a ignorant moron. Yes she should be held responsible. It is her JOB!! She has to call the town highways and see if the roads are safe. Did she?? how about delaying school an hour or two to give time to clean the roads. Just b/c the conditions are ok in Whitesboro or Rome does not mean its ok in Floyd. Its a large school district. The accident was horrible but K.Davis needs to take responsibility. It was her job! She has the position to delay or cancel school not pass the buck off to parents.

Please read the letter that was sent detailing how the decision is made. Your comment is clearly uninformed and ignorant of how decisions are made.

Perhaps when it is very slippery. Our parents should refrain from allowing their teens from driving, and instruct them to take the bus to school? Just a thought.

No one is at fault. It was an accident. That's why we call them accidents. I hope the brother can come to realize this. Maybe parents can take this as a lesson. But it wasn't the parents fault. Please let this young man die in peace and stop trying to blame anyone. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT.
