The person in charge of writing out all these tickets is a very young man in his early 20s that enjoys the "power" he has writing out these parking tickets.

It is impossible to find a parking space on the side streets when you have a job that calls for delivery of food to the shut in elderly. Despite a handicapped card and needing to park, this young kid is more concern about writing tickets than he is using common sense.

I have seen him drive right by someone illegally parked on Genny and Bleecker. There is a sign there that says truck unloading only and 20 minute limit. And I have never seen anyone get a ticket for illegally parking in a handicap spot-particularly in supermarket parking lots. We need to report this type of activity to the UPD facebook page or telephone, and we need to have police officers start handing out parking tickets. If the public knows we are serious about our parking regulations then the problem will be minimized. Isn't this a public safety/quality of life issue Rob?

There are barely enough cops to respond to calls and you are concerned about parking tickets....UPD has their priorities straight, maybe you should get yours in order.

What I find just fascinating is that the terms of the parking tickets violate the usury laws. But nobody in the city government was aware of costitutional protections against what the palmieri admin is attaching to parking tickets. Hello judges, bobbys parking tickets are unconstitutional. Maybe the OD would care to opine. It's just the law bobby, don't fret. Nobody expected you to understand it.

I got a ticket in utica and the p.e.a put the incorrect make and model of my vehicle. It says vw jetta, I drive an audi. Can I plead not guilty for this reason? I heard if I do get it thrown out i would still have to pay 30 dollars in court fees anyway, is this true? I dont want to waste a bunch of time for a chance at 20 dollars less of a fine..

The friends and incest family plan is alive and well in that city still it seems! Even in school all the williams were relly no good if you knew them close. It is sickening when you have criminals working as police.

Just ignorant math. They doubled the cost of a ticket back in February from $25 to $50. This is all smoke and mirrors. They make it seem like this is a good thing. Property taxes will rise in excess of 20% very shortly and the administration is putting this out there as a good thing. Sorry state of affairs when parking tickets are used to balance your budget.

If blacks stole more cars, they would have it lowered, and say the fines are racist. Just like they had to lower the prison time for blacks who got busted with crack. Because white people make black smoke crack.

This is why they watch children starve to death and burn witches.

Parking tickets can be issued by non-law enforcement officers but the violation is civil not criminal. You can't go to jail for non payment. Many municipalities don't even bother to collect if they're not paid. They are primarily a source of voluntary fees.

You have a handicapped permit and deliver food? You sound like a phony. You're as much as a fake as your handicap.
