Jealous? More like disgusted! By the time I am 67 there won't be any money left in social security because of all the 30 year olds with "back problems"
I'm not against legitimate claims but more than half of these claims are bogus.

I herniated 3 discs in my back less than a month after my 20th birthday, dealing with comp was a bigger pain in the ass than working ever was/is. Seems to only be like that for ppl with legitimate claims though. I rehabed myself, took awhile but I did it, I still have the 3 herniated discs because their idea of medical care was a JOKE!(And even with medical proof and documentation they tried to claim I faked my mri, which isnt possible, and that I was too young to have this injury) I work 70 hrs a wk most weeks and hope I never have to deal with those idiots again. I work in pain to the point where I can't put on my own socks and shoes in under an hr sometimes. Nothing really helps when it flares up so theres no point in taking anything for it, been there tried em all. Just push on through the pain. Collecting a paycheck is alot easier than collecting comp for a legitimate issue, any day.

yeah he was about worthless. I did better on my own than with him. I wasn't after their money, I wanted to go back to work. I wanted them to do whatever was needed to get me back to work, that didn't happen so I figured it out and did it myself.

That sucks. But at least you got back to work. Do you find certain areas of the country more comfortable for your back than others? A good lawyer would have gotten you better care. Chiropractic has helped me.

Winters aren't great, but they seem to keep me movin from the cold to the warmer areas, that helps. I know if I'm in the colder areas for a week or more I know I'm going to have problems. Its happened too many times and its really not alot of fun trying to crank landing gear or even unhook the airlines and power cord, not to mention the fuel hoses on the days it takes an hr or more to get my socks and shoes on. But its going to hurt no matter if I lay in bed or sit in the drivers seat, might as well make some money!

I went to a chiropractor for a long time, he was great, but hes retired now and I don't really have time to find another. I've got it mostly figured out how to get through my days, so I do ok on the bad days. No complaints here.
