Holland Farms pies

Schwan's pumpkin pie is $6.49. We bought two last week.

It is ALWAYS cheaper to make your own. Merchants mark up prices to make a PROFIT. By making your own, you not only save money but are guaranteed that it's good quality and that some HOG didn't stick his E coli infested hands in it that will either kill you or make you wish you were dead. You must be very lazy not to make your own and pay premium prices for inferior quality crap at Holland Farms. Haven't you heard it is as EASY AS PIE. Get a recipe and do it. I made 5 pies this week. Total kitchen time was one hour and a half. It was worth every second and I had fun doing it.

I travel alot but when I get to Utica I know Holland Farms has the best baked goods anywhere. Yes, they're expensive but well worth the price. Half-moons are big, thick and tasty!

i have been crying foul about HF for a couple of years now.

when someone asks me to pick something up there i cry. i work hard for my pay, too hard to get robbed by a bakery who should be helping the cny community, not extorting it.

Answer me this: Do you need a pie? Is anyone forcing you to buy one at HF or anywhere else? I know it's the beginning of the eating season, err, holiday season, but do you really need to eat all that #$%$ when you look like you do?

Just came outta Price Chopper. They had 8" pumpkin pies for $5.99. I know its the day after Thanksgiving but still...$18 @ Holland Farms? At that price I expect the cashier to be wearing a see-thru top. And to have a nice rack on her.
