The Chinese restaurant that is located in the plaza near the corner of Genesee and Clinton Place. They whip up some yummy vegetable lo mien which doesn't taste like it has been seeped in a lethal amount of sodium for 2 hours. The cooks and cashiers are always friendly and prompt with your order. They may have a hard time understanding English, but they won't be offended if you just circle what you want on the menu and hand it to them. In fact, sometimes they prefer that. And the smells, decor and brightly lit picture of a famous Chinese landscape sprawled on the wall will take you miles away from the depressing streets of Utica.

Wait--why are there, like, 30 Chinese restaurants in Utica/New Hartford. That's a ratio of probably 1:1 to all other restaurants.

Close tie between Beijing and Sunny(Abany St). Sunny has selection of different Asian dishes(Tai, Chinese, Japanese). Both are clean and staff is always friendly. I hope Sunny succeeds, not the best neighborhood but they are great people.
Disclosure: I am not a relative, friend, investor or anything else...just a customer.

Mhai apologigeez to the spellinn polise for taking time out of his very busy schedule to correct my typing errur.
I read this forum and try not to get angry because I am guessing that inciting anger and frustration is the motive of those who have nothing better to do than spend their time criticzing everyone from bartenders to politicians. By participating I suppose I am joining the bottom-feeders of this pathetic city. It would be refreshing to see these people express their feelings directly to the individuals whom they are attacking. My guess is that would never happen.
All I wanted to do was say a few nice things about some local restaurants and now I have gotten angry and spent WAY to much time on Topix.
