Adrean Terrace is A Ghetto Slum

[Economic Development]

The MHA Facility - Adrean Terrace - is in a very visible decline. Graffiti painted on buildings, garbage strewn across the grounds and over flowing dumpsters,dead trees, cars being driven across the lawns throughout the property, car repairs taking place in the parking lots, and poor and inferior building repairs and maintenance are making the place look more like a Ghetto than home to many needy residents. Contrary to the letter in todays OD by Nicholas J. Mosca JR. of Utica, it would appear that the MHA Board with Mr. Salitino on it and Executive Director Taras Herbowy have forgotten or abrogated their responsibility to maintain quality and clean housing. Instead of Kudos, they need to take a drive around the properties that they oversee and clean them up. Its a disgrace and if they are in charge they should resign. Kudos for what cashing their Board and Director paychecks, baloney. Make the Board live there and it would change. They may as well do their jobs, because the taxpayers are paying to subsidize the tenants and property.

The Bosnian woman that cleans our house, has a lovely place.
When I went to pick her up, her son had fallen and cut himself. I helped him inside where his mother cleaned his scraped knee. I was quite surprised how nice it was not only outside, but surprisingly, inside as well.

Whitesboro your post does not address the filthy conditions on the exterior of the Adrean Terrace Property. It is up to the management to clean it, maintain, it and enforce the facility ordinances to ensure that the clients are observing the regulations to not repair vehicles, drive vehicles on the lawns, and harass the Tennant's with ATV's. The fact that one Tennant is well mannered is fine, but the facility in its current condition does not lend itself to attracting a quality individual to live there. Some of the above noted conditions have only grown worse since the Mayor's appointment of Salitino to place. Perhaps despite his living only several hundred yards from the Adrean Terrace Property he can not take the time to view it with his time being consumed by the school board. Perhaps Whitesboro, the fine women would appreciate you more if you helped to improve the appearance of the dumpy tenement like facility. Its a disgrace that I would not expect a monkey to live in, I am ashamed that you do not have the eyes with which you can see the true condition of Adrean Terrace. Then again you probably are only paying slave labor wages and no social security payments.

I just drove past and through the Terrace. I see nothing that you noted. You must have an axe to grind or some other agenda.

You seem to have to make excuses for public officials that you are paying for since its federal and state funds that pay them no matter what water spigot you stand under you are paying for them to not clean the place up.

I get mad and thats why I use the adjectives I do because i know Adrean Terrace and I know for a fact that it is very well maintained and the people that are there are happy there. The grounds are clean and the bldgs kept up. Then I have to listen to these Dicks on here saying things that they know nothing about.

Being a very happy resident living at Adrean Terrace for years watch everday the maintenance department fixing and beautifing the grounds and working very hard on a daily basis. Do you realize that there are over 300 apartments at this place (Adrean Terrance ND Peters and FX Matts) with about 6 maintenace men and over 11 acres of grounds? how can you expect things to be in perfect condition? these men have to maintain lawns, fix broken things in apartments, and also prepare apartments for new residents. the problem is the Dir. Taras has given his high managers over 5,000 grand EACH pay raises which makes it impossible now for him to hire new maintenance men and there is not enough help. the illegal dumping of contractors has to stop yes you heard me LOCAL CONTRACTORS illegally dumping and there are people from all over the city dumping their garbage and making a mess also. we love where we live or we would not be here! The next time you want to trash my home, please know your facts ahead of time.

Maybe its better than bombed out Sarjevo, but I think it needs some care. Here's a question is that a new species of tree in the back on Tilden ,it looks pretty dead to me.
