I am currently trying to make ends meet but it seems to be a losing battle. My wife and I both work but with the economy and all of our expenses it's getting harder and harder. I don't want to claim bankruptcy but it seems to be what we need to do for now. Does anyone have any ideas?

Randy Schall in Oneida is the best around. There is also Tom Hughes in New Hartford. Be careful of Gruenwald. Can't remember where he practices out of.

Dave Gruenewald is great, ALL HE DOES IS Bankruptcy law. My financial advisor shares an office with him on Genesee Street Utica but he also has offices in rome, syracuse and an associate in new hartford. The guy is actually very smart and very reasonable in cost. He knows the nitty gritty.

There is also Craig Humpleby out of syracuse. he's a bit crazy though/

Everyone wants to run up their credit cards and bills to get stuff they don't need and then they want to take the easy way out and file bankruptcy. Live w/ in ur means in the first place and this won't happen. Pay ur bills the best u can or seek help in paying them not bailing out.

They all do the same thing, there isnt one thats any better than another,, and they all charge about the same fee, which is around $1200.00, just make sure you have good medical insurance while you are doing this, or you will just defeat your purpose after the bk, if you go to the doctor or hospital and have no insurance, the bills will start to pile up all over again.

thats true in many cases, but you also have the people who have no medical insurance and get afford to pay the high medical bills, and the people who became unemployed and are having a hard time finding jobs that pay anything, and because of these things they just fall behind and find that the best way out of it is with a BK, so its not just people that run up credit card bills etc, with no intention of paying and just file for bankruptcy to get out of it,, every situation is different.

My son went bankrupt for $60,000 in medical bills, after he changed jobs and his new insurance company wouldn't pay for his shoulder operation. He had a pin in his shoulder from years ago that became infected for some reason. These insurance companies need some regulation and have to be forced to take the bad with the good in group plans.

thats what exacty happens to good people who try to pay their bills and do everything right,a lot of these bankruptcies involve medical bills, you have to be careful especially when you change jobs, and go from one insurance co to another, the former company wont pay it because you are no longer with them, and the new company wont pay because it is classified as a pre existing medical problem so thay leave you with an enormous bill which you cant afford to pay, and thus many turn to bankruptcy.
