well since you like to use the words fact lets look at something. Fact he has not been their since January. Fact if the family issue was so bad how come I have seen him out. And how come he could not come to church to announce his retirement instead of sending it in a letter. He is a a jerk and their will not be a dam tear shed when he leaves you must be one of his friends that followed from St Anthonys I left St Anthonys because of him and then I left Rosery because of him THANK GOD THAT MISERABLE JERK IS GONE

Didn't know which I should respond to....... bishop or well? You most likely don't even know this man, you live in Troy ( aka the armpit of the Capitol region) Father Felix has helped more people and families than you could ever know. Those of us who respect him, understand this and pay no attention to the whiners who want to bad mouth him! BEING A SAD AND MISERABLE JERK WITH NO LIFE YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THE REST OF THE AREA RESPECTS HIM! His masses are packed every weekend and the collection is huge because of him. he helps family's in spiritual need. Stop being a fake Christian and get over it!

Frustration!!

Even though some unkind remarks have been made, I, along with many are frustrated with the whole state of affairs going on.

We now have a 2nd priest who all of a sudden "retires" or "resigns." I would think that those types of things are announced in advance, and usually a retirement party is planned, etc. I also think it's not fair to the parishioners, some who are very involved and dedicated. We don't need to know the reasons, but it's like a slap in the face.

We have one church with no pastor, and that priest was suddenly taken away from that parish, and have a pastor of one of the largest churches in Utica overseeing it along with priests coming out of retirement to help.

I would think it's very fair to state that all of this is very open to suspicion.

HIS masses are PACKED only because they last 15-20 minutes. I was going there for a few years, but left because I got NOTHING out of the mass OR sermons...and SEVERAL more have left for the SAME reason. YOU must be a personal friend, OR you can't wait to get thru what you call "MASS"

Wow. Sorry so many of you are so threatened by us Christians! I am a Catholic and I am a huge fan of Jesus Christ. No Mary worship here. Father Felix is a great priest and deserves more respect than he's ever going to get here. His sunday mass is short so the kids can get across the street to religion classes. Plus he doesn't see the need to drag out and sing every word of the Mass. There's no need for that pomp and circumstance anymore. You either pray to our Lord Jesus or you don't. Make up your mind and quit sniping at Father Felix. Are you with Christ or not?!?!?
WOW...did someone BRAINWASH you!!!!!!!!!! Mass is short so the kids can get across the street to religion??? GIVE me a break..YOU are CLUELESS. We weren't born yesterday..maybe YOU were.

Father Felix is a caring, concerned, honest and faith filled Priest. He has been the spiritual leader for thousands of local Catholics. I don't know why he left but he is 75 years old and eligible for retirement. After all the years of dedicated service to our Lord and the people of this area he has nothing to explain. As for those that were dissatisfied with him at times, remember he is still only human. I wish him well and thank him for his years of dedicated and compassionate spiritual leadership.

I encourage concerned parents, community members, and parishioners to contact Bishop Robert Cunningham, Victim Assistance Coordinator Jacqueline Bressette, and members of the Diocesan Review Board and demand that Bishop Cunningham place a photograph and profile of Felix Colosimo on the Bishop Accountability website.

How do I go about doing that?

Some of their contact information is on the Diocese of Syracuse website. Bishop Cunningham, the Victim Assistance Coordinator, and the Diocesan Review Board determined that multiple claims against Felix Colosimo are credible and the bishop secretly removed him from ministry. As such, Felix Colosimo currently lives quietly and comfortably in Utica while children in the community remain at risk. Ask Bishop Cunningham why he removed Felix Colosimo from ministry and why he refuses to post a photograph and profile of the former priest on the Bishop Accountability website.

This is a serious matter. Children in the community are not safe. People should insist that the bishop be transparent and honor his commitment to protect children. Instead, the removal from ministry was conducted in secrecy and shrouded in lies.

If it was secret then how do you know about it? What proof do you have that he did something wrong? Is it because someone said something on Topix or do you actually think you know something? Father Felix is 75. Priests have to retire from active duty when they are 75. I'm all for transparency especially if children's well being is involved but I've heard nothing that would lead me to believe there has been any kind of wrong doing. If you have proof to the contrary please enlighten me.

Jacqueline Bressette, the Victim Assistance Coordinator, has verbally stated that Bishop Cunningham and the Diocesan Review Board have determined that multiple claims brought against Felix Colosimo are credible. However, the bishop refuses to acknowledge their decision to remove the predator from ministry. Instead, they concocted a lie about the predator retiring to care for his sister. Bishop Cunningham has knowingly and secretly released a predator into the community and placed children at risk. Documents, videos, photographs, e-mail messages, and phone records exist to prove that an investigation took place. Instead of being transparent and warning residents of Central New York that a predator is living among their children, the bishop is gambling that no one will find out. Well, I am here to tell you that a predator has been released into your community. According to Bressette, priests in the Diocese of Syracuse are expected to work well into their 80s due to the priest shortage. Felix Colosimo left Our Lady of the Rosary Church abruptly, without an explanation or retirement party. The bishop refuses to explain the departure. This is a huge scandal. The worst part is that innocent children are at risk because the predator has been secretly removed from ministry and has much free time. Roman Catholics should be outraged and demand answers from their bishop.

was told he was a crook. He like to go up north and live like he is high class with other priest.
What grown men do is not my business they are consulting adults. I sure hope children were not involve in this mess. What kind of a God would allow children to suffer especially with men of the cloth.

I believe this is why it is absolutely BEST for ANY church leader NOT to be married, whether you are a priest, bishop, deacon, or anything. You get sidetracked. You're only human. You'll want to please your wife....and you'll want to please the church. When your wife/home is upset, it will spill over into your ministry. This is not good. Leave father and mother.....future wife and family....for my sake. I will give you 100 times more on earth....and endless happiness in heaven
