who is the best drummer now? and i dont mean ever to come out of utica, I mean still playing.

Gotta be Derek Smith.....That guy is freaking awesome...He plays in a band called the "awakeovernights"... Dude is seriously awesome,best i have ever seen...Man,if you can ever catch one of their shows he does this 27 minute drum solo that is off the hook....

That cat in Keel the Puppet's pretty good. Don't know his name and they don't play out that much, though. Valley Brook mostly, which ain't the best place to go to see live music.

Bob Mishalanie is far and away the most talented drummer in cny. But he has an unfortunate inability to get along with others. He played with several local bands over the years but his "big" chance was with Joey Bonnamasa but he just could not go along to get along so he just beats his skins alone.....(i think he does some teaching) and pushes a broom at the state office bldng
