Always the same story at Proctor, when they are winning you never hear these stories, but when the have a losing season it's because the kids come from single parent homes, ESL, refugees, trouble-makers, blah, blah, blah. It's amazing what a guy like Bob Hurley Sr. can do with disadvantage kids, or a coach in NYC and any other inner city school. Once you set the tone by throwing out the trouble-makers (ie Josh Wright, Deandre Preaster, etc etc) and sacrificing a few wins in order to get your message through and have the kids buy into your system, then maybe you wouldn't have these excuses.
. Excuses? No one is giving excuses. It's cluing in the clueless. This is the truth no one wants to hear. That's why winning feels so good. When you can rise above it all!

Yah but they by far have the most kids participating in football from flag-high school. 2 pop warner programs filled to capacity... Modified football w 70 kids, Jv with 60 kids and varsity w 50-70 kids depending on the yr.
Name another program in section 3 that has those participation #'s... None
They crush all of the AA's in participation #'s except for maybe l'pool bville and that's about it. Talk about an advantage
Success breeds success and kids want to be a part of that... Section III and NYSPHAA do not classify schools by numbers participating, but by numbers enrolled. So I state again, Whitesboro is around the 5th largest A school.

Actually, I can imagine times where those numbers would be more of a problem...

Exactly! Like "Coach Carter". Maybe they should watch it over and over?

abraham is going no where. He wont be able to coach his son if he leaves, only reason he is there. He can come to NH all the coaching staff is made up of parents coaching their kids except for football for now until hobins kid gets old enough.
What a joke, kids getting as far as they can on their parents back in sports. Kids are in for a big surprise when you graduate and realize daddy cant put you in the forefront and give you more opportunity then you deserve.
What then? overwhelmed, anxiety, no coping skills etc. they will stand still as the kid that got screwed on the team has experience in life and unfairness and learned some tough life lessons and got stronger from it and succeeds in life as an adult.

Jeezus is right, but its more than that. Fi isn't the right guy for the job he's simply not a good head football coach. He is very passionate but without sufficient football knowledge no matter how many values are instilled there not gonna win. No matter what happens coaching wise I hope some of the guys stay on but they need a head coach. But really Paul and Steve are perfect for the job Paul is a football genius ans Steves personality is perfect for the phs. Need new leadership
