Rumor has it Proctor is interviewing for a replacement for Forini. Is it true that Byron Abraham is leaving ND for Proctor?

I will only say that we are exploring all options. Coach Abraham is certainly among the top of available candidates, as well as coach Gates from Westmoreland. Coach Fiorini is also being considered for the top job at his alma mater- RFA- since coach Swavely is likely going to take the job at ND. Lots happening this off-season, and it's just getting started.

Byron isn't going anywhere! Let's see do you think they are going to follow up Fridays huge upset with firing the one coach who brought them back some tradition in football?

Let's face it Proctor hasn't had a good coach since Tony Barket back in the mid 80's matter of fact he is the only good football coach in there history. All you do realize that Proctor has had 3 winning seasons since like 1984!! That's horrible who cares who takes that job they will always stink they always have.

The problem with Proctor is that the players are not committed to being part of a program, which means putting time in during the spring & summer. Of course the coaching staff has to take some of the blame because at the end of the day some are more in it for the extra $$$ that comes with it. And then there is the excuse factor, coaches blame players, players blame coaches & the fans blame the coaches. There has to be a winning attitude all around.

Actually, not much of your post is True. Tony Barkett was a good coach however even he had trouble winning when he was an assistant with Asselta in the early years of consolidation. As far as winning seasons, you are very wrong. Since Fiorini took over in I believe 2002 the Raiders have had 6 winning seasons. 2011 (5-4) 2010(7-2) 2006 (5-4) 2005 (6-3) 2003 (7-1) 2002 (6-3). Proctor has played in probably the best division in NYS. Although they have never made it to the AA Finals, they have made it to the semi finals 4 or 5 times which they always seem to run into CBA. I would like to know what team in the Mohawk Valley you think is better than Proctor? The 2010 team or 2003 Team could beat any team in the state on any given Friday. If you are a Class B or lower fan you couldn't beat this years team which has very little talent.

Proctors league is not the toughest in the state. Year in year Buffalo and Rochester and Albany and NYC are were the powers are. CBA is very good and a few others but I would bet most of Proctors wins were against teams with losing records in the league. Proctor has a huge advantage with enrollment over most of the schools they play SNF should field better teams.

Agree that proctor has had some decent teams. But lets not get to carried away with who can beat them. There are several teams...most notably wboro has had some power house teams in recent years. Also don't discount ND. Yes you say class C...yet I seen them play an inner city syracuse school...much like the make up of henny or corcoran...the kids you say are soft and slow at ND scored at will against a bigger faster and more athletic team. I'm quite sure some of the good oneida teams can handle proctor as well. Quite sure CVA in ilion...class B just spanked AA Albany last weekend.

Proctorhas all the talent, just no tradition or Pride in the school. It's not a Raider football culture, so kids there don't strive to make Proctor and the best. It's gonna take a coach who believes in building and maintaining a good football tradition with a balance of honor, commitment, hard work and talent. It's a tough task, but can be done. The proof? Their basketball team

This post helps intelligent producers realize why the area is so educationally stunted and full of epic failures. They need to be "entertained" with "football" glory clouds. Hopefully that "glory" helps them get real jobs instead of doing like most of the football retards and ending up in a prison or cop dufus job like all the other great ball heroes form that area.

Well you can drive right over to whitesboro this Friday night and watch proctor play whitesboro if you would like. I think the game is at 6-6:30pm. Proctor will win by double digits and as far as notre dame is concerned, proctor would have wiped the floor with them for the past 10+ yrs... Including this yr. AA football is a lot better than all of you clowns think. If you are comparing Syracuse institute of tech to henninger and Corcoran or Nottingham, u have a screw loose!

Proctor should do whatever it takes to get Byron. The ND program will fall apart. No proctor athletes will leave for ND and Byron knows how to build a football program

1. Utica is not a football city. It's baseball & basketball. Rome is football. 2. Proctor's enrollment has nothing to do with winning football. Bosnians, Russians, Asians, Africans, don't play football. I'm sure Pop Warner is very popular for those kids. Football is 99.9% black, white and some Hispanic. The reality is Proctor might actually be more like a B or smaller class A school, with all the diversity. Whitesboro has always been the largest class A school. They might draw from a bigger pool of American kids than Proctor.

That is your opinion, However, The Buffalo and Rochester Areas have the same few teams that win every year, Orchard Park, Rush Henrietta, Webster but who else is in those Leagues. From top to Bottom CBA, Bville, Liverpool, West Gennesee, Henninger, Corcoran FM. One year Auburn won the state championship. One year West Genesee won the state and Proctor was the only team to beat them that year. At one time or another Proctor has beaten just about all of those teams....They also have beaten traditional powers like Vestal, Binghamton, Horseheads and Tottenville. If you choose to compare the level of competition to Syracuse Inst of Tech....you are oblivious.

Gates from Westmoreland would be overwhelmed at Proctor. He's in lala land at Westmo. Coaching inner city kids would be a whole new ballgame.

Byron knows how to build a program?? He has been there for 10 years and has won 0 championships. He recruits the best athletes from the surrounding school districts example. Gaglinesse kud from clinton some from proctor some from saquout and thry have an average program! They are by no means dominant like everybody makes them sound!
