Unions hold no place in today's work structure. Why do you think they've been on the decline for years?

I'm in a union. I gets $28/hr to look at cars in the parking lot at the State Office Building. I gets 2 10 minute smoke breaks an hour, and an hour for lunch.

They're on the decline because that's how big business wants it. And nitwits like you who have swallowed the kool aid. Sheeple.

Keep telling yourself that and drinking your kool aid. Btw...your kool aid is almost gone.

No union means less pay and benefits. That's a fact. Debate anything else but don't be ignorant .

Why? Afraid you might have to implement fairness into your daily practices? Maybe the Administrator would have to be present for more than 6 hrs day? Maybe the DON would be discovered for her lack of social skills and education? Or maybe the new owners will clean house of inadequate leadership that prevails at the place?

I know this.....Your post is self serving and has nothing to do with given a fuck about those below the proverbial line who actually work!

A union will hold you accountable to those you could care less about Joe's employees....vote that union in and take some control of your lives. What has that administration done for you lately? Staff you well enough to feel proud of the job you do??? I think not!

No it doesn't but if paying union dues to a bunch of people making six figures plus a year makes you feel better have it.

Facts are facts. The 24 "Right to Work" states, which give workers the right to not join unions or pay union dues as a condition of employment, lead the US in economic growth.

Real total personal income grew by 165 percent in right-to-work states over a 31-year span, outpacing the national average of 123 percent growth.

From 20002009, approximately 4.9 million people migrated from non-right-to-work states to those states with right-to-work laws.

The overall effect of a right-to-work law increases economic-growth rates by 11.5 percentage points.

See you didn't "Lol!" about anything else in there.

Right now as I write this, at St. Joe's there are only four nurses in that building and one supervisor. Each of three units with 40 residents each has two CNAs per unit taking care of human beings with many needs.

Meanwhile, the Administrator -- who I suspect Union Buster to be -- works MAYBE 6 hrs per day MAYBE and makes a bunch of money.

So is someone or two perhaps running a bit scared these days. New ownership digging deep and two unions knocking at the door.

Perhaps accountable wasn't the best choice of words . But we're done being pushed around and taken for granted so snicker all you like.

Actually now I'm "LOL"ing at both of your posts.

"Makes a bunch of money". I realize anything over 32k a year to you is a bunch of money! Lol!

You realize that about me from my posts? Well aren't you brilliant!

I realize that it's illogical to discuss anything with anyone who finds LOL to be an acceptable conclusion to any type of discussion.

Good luck St. Joe's employees. A union may not be THE answer but anything is better than how you have it now. Don't fall for the "let's talk about it" approach administration is banking on. Stand up for yourselves. See you when I'm in to visit.

People who make a healthy income don't refer to others as "making a bunch of money". Perhaps the employees should work harder and take the administrators job? Have you ever heard of that concept? Oh and...LOL!

Really???? Do you even know what you're talking about?

People with logical thought processes who possess the ability to debate like adults don't play a game of tit-for-tat either.

I'm curious. What's your interpretation of a healthy income?

When unions fall out, it's management that benefits.
