NY SAFE Act

Danielson, CT

#1 Apr 16, 2013
As of today, the 7 round magazine limit goes into effect. If you are caught outside your home with more than 7 rounds loaded, you can face jail time. Also, be advised that since there is no law enforcement provision in the bill that most all cops are now felons!

What we need now is for Cuomo to pass a law against bombs at marathons, then I will feel safe. The truth is laws only apply to law abiding people. Criminals, terrorists, and madmen pay no attention to background checks, magazine limits or the fact that murder is illegal. The so called SAFE ACT simply will make it easier for criminals to prey upon the law abiding citizens of NY State. My sympathy goes out to the people of Boston.

You hit the nail on the head.

Cops became exempt with the passage of the state budget. There was language in it all to clean up the mistakes regarding law enforcement. So yes. The cops that tell you what you can't have to protect yourself will now have for themselves though. How nice.

Pope Cuomo will be at the boilermaker pronouncing it safe for all runners. And he will have an increased compliment of 6-10 state police bodyguards with him at all times.(Of course they will have their Glocks w/high capacity mags - 17+1 rds.) And...every helicopter the state owns will be overhead hovering at treetop level to ensure the safety of all runners.

<quoted text>Don't ban the Boilermaker or backpacks. That's just the usual dumb kneejerk crap. This is all overreaction and posturing. Expect to see ***"MOUNTAINS! MOUNTains! mountains!*** of it between now and Boilergasm Sunday.
They'll beat this plastic horse with oootca clubs for all it's worth. They just got a new publicity play for this years race to go along with ***MOUNTAINS! MOUNTains! mountains!*** Even if ya don't like the Boilermaker you gotta see how fkd up it is. And now you get to see the utican hero squad use the word "proactive" about SIXTY THOUSAND TIMES between now and the Kenyanmaker.
Sooooo glad I got away from that selfserving pensionslob job freakshow.
This should be good watching the press conferences about hot air and the usual attention-starved cops there show the world how badly they handle things. Can't wait till they try to ban those runners their backpacks. If they do that there goes your race next year nobody is going to tolerate their rights and conveniences of a gear bag being ripped off when the usual just asking people to be aware is all you can realistically do. A bomber simply doesn't need to use a bag at all today.
Just like "assault" and "non-assault" rifles it's impossible to regulate intents. Good luck how'd the gun clip ban from Cuomodinijad feel? Feel safer knowing now they're using YouTube bombs?
In another 5 years the wackos will be using cheap kit drones to make idiots out of themselves who needs a bag and who's jumping at shadows demanding they be banned in public? That's insane good luck with THAT one!
What is ooootca?

I think it is kind of ironic that Adolf Cuomo signed his so called SAFE ACT into law on Patriots Day.

Almost as ironic as the deep water horizon explosion in the Gulf of Mexico on earth day.
