Hey, this is the Crunch you're talking about, not the Syracuse Blazers. Will there be fights in the stands at the Aud? Comets suck.

Also, you are referring to an AHL Conference Champion who made it to the Calder Cup finals. Utica still needs to play at least 20 games before they jell as a team. Utica, wait until next year, that is, if you still have a team. Wow, I wonder how many of you Comet fans out there used to be Crunch fans. Hypocrites!!!

If these boys were any good those Canadian teams would've drafted them. Many of these boys, or shall I call them men are Canadians what are they doing here? Canada is hockey insane. One thing if there were only a couple of Canadians for an American team but not almost the entire roll call and I also believe the coach. This now smells of some money scam that will possibly expose Esche and his goons. Esche, you should have picked American boys not another country, then you want these nit-wits locally to purchase tickets of a hockey team, to me, is essentially another country goalie each other?

No, it can't be about the hockey, it is all about the money and there is a lot of money and dirty politicians involved in the apple dunking!

well i'm a comet fan and ive talked to alot of comets fans, i've only found one that even went to crunch games regularly. i've gone to one crunch game, just couldn't see rooting for a team named after a candy bar. i think the crunch fan base is located in syracuse, not utica rome. and i realize your team went to the finals last season which is great, but also remember the crunch missed the playoffs in 3 of the 4 seasons before last year. things change fast at the AHL level...and we realize its going to take a year or two before the team will start showing some wins, we are a extremely young team.

well its obvious from your post that you have absolutly no clue what the hell is going on. these players were all drafted by a canadian team, the canucks. the players have almost all under contract except for 3-4 that the comets own. money scam??? ive never heard of a ahl team making alot of money, its a quality of life perk!! go back to waiting for your welfare check and racing down to the corner store for lotto tickets and beer..

Actually, your use of terms: welfare check, lotto tickets, and beer, are most usually associated with hockey fans.
Also, the majority of season tickets 'sales' went to advertisers as a package deal and are used as give-aways, game by game.

You are correct, very few tickets bought by individual fans. All by corporations or some other business people. Place will announce crowds of 1000 more people that are actually there. You will see crowds of 1200 people a lot. Most crowds after the 1st few games will be less than half filled. Remember, this is UTICA.

thats really weird cause at the season ticket holder part at the hotel utica was absolutly swamped. and they all looked like real people to me.....but then again, we have covered this several times over the past few months. guess you just alot slower than we all thought.....with the updates to the building and a grass roots ownership that knows it has to worh their asses off keeping fans coming back it will be fine.
