No, you misunderstand. I'm all for doing something. My ideas about what should be done are just wildly different from the Occupy people. I think anyway. To be sure though I need to know what they want. I am wondering what people at these events are "doing", that's all. I told you I get it. People are angry. What is the goal? What would the Occupy people have happen? That's all I want to know.
Read my prior posts. Those are taken directly from the OWS website. There are plenty more examples. These are some really radical ideas. No wonder these people are finding life difficult, they are totally clueless.

Iím sorry I wonít be able to make it down there myself for the protest but I did tell my employees that they were free to take the time off (without pay) to attend if they wanted. All of them declined the offer. It appears that they would rather suffer here than march in the streets to express their dissatisfaction with my corporate greed.

"We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes. We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all. We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything. We are the 99 percent."

The fact is 99% of us are not getting kicked out of our homes. 99% of us don't have to choose between groceries and rent.

This whole statement is rhetorical nonsense and lacks a factual basis.

I asked you to back it up. You are avoiding it.

It's really not very novel.

Someone changes the hours at your work and you dont like it, so you go to your boss and say "everyone hates the new hours".

The "99%" are just like "everyone", a childish dramatization put forward by people who dont think their own individual voice matters.

The problem now is these large corporate jobs don't really need people, they need perception of profits. All of us contribute to this everyday when we go to WalMart, Target, etc.

If you ever shopped at these stores and you're "occupying", you're a hypocrite. Don't get mad, it's just my opinion. And this hatred of people who make more than $10/hour is hilarious.

Just sit on your ass and complain, that's the new American way. Go make something of yourself and survive on your own. Now we all just complain and whine and we have no skills and/or education to back it up. We just want MORE for nothing.

You want more? Go work for it, be smart, and stop making generalizations against groups of people based on their income. Most people who make money earned it, you should aspire to that, not mock it like some bully who picked on the smart kid at school.

O yeah, the smart kid is paying for most of the bullies today, how ironic.

These "occupy" folks seem kind of silly and pointless. There are grabbing hold of the radical chic banner and waving it frantically not realizing that they are neither and about a half century too late to the show.

May I suggest some mottoes for their signs?

How about, "I'm too lazy to pay my own way and I demand others do it for me!"

Or maybe, "Vive la Jacobins!".

Keeping in the French revolutionary mind how about, " Je sui Sans-culottes! Buy me some pants!"

Maybe a little Soviet style, "Useful Idiots Unite!"

I'm just trying to help out here.

- Requiring college enrollment for anyone on public assistance programs
- Capping the amount of time people can spend on public assistance

- Incentive(s) for owning your own business
- Incentives for educating oneself (maybe partial payback)
- Incentives for buying locally
- Incentives, incentives, incentives

I see incentives for the stupidest things, why not logical things.......

- Incentives for manufacturing here
- Huge tariffs on American companies manufacturing overseas

You know, things the government is actually supposed to do. Not health care and all the stupid BS that we do. How about get rid of the grant programs that allow you to unnecessarily build a round-about in the center of a dying city?

HOW ABOUT THAT!

- Removal of ridiculous pensions in the public sector (private can do what they want)
- Removal of "tenure" in the education system
- Removal of unnecessary public sector jobs (because of union mandates)

We have to take 10 steps back to do this correctly, and many people are going to suffer. But many already are.
