There's this thing. It's called 'Google.' It's new, I know. Go on AOL, Yahoo, Alta Vista or Ask Jeeves and search for 'Google.' Then you can go there and look up Toomey. Strange that you ask when you already seem to know him.

Low life greedy west utica fweep who made it big now wont retire.

Said he was living in Utica, for a time was actually living in Ithaca, took a bus there. I heard he didnt pay just showed his badge to get a free ride. Now, even though he's kicking down with 115K he lives in Clinton. Nice.

How am I "defending" Toomey?(I actually know him; he's not a bad guy.)

How am I "attacking" Fatata?

Only honest cop in the city.

Yeah he got a good honest degree from syracuse university on the city's dime and has been working as much overtime as he could as Capt. to make over 100,000na year regularly. Ask him about all the times he has officers do his work for him...read this for me and tell me what it says, sharpen my pencils, etc.

did he do something illegal to get his degree? no. he used a benefit THEY OFFERED that most people just ignore. So, you're blaming him for what exactly? He used to get overtime? Overtime seniority is part of the contract, right? Don't like it, all you have to do is change the contract when it comes up for renegotiation. Easy as pie. Easy, easy, easy. There, both your "complaints" solved in 30 seconds.

Wonder where "Hmmmm" went? Funny how cowards disappear when they can't answer one simple question.

This same clown had street cops come in and clean his office, proof read stuff for him, and yes, sharpen pencils. He's a joke, no one respects him.

yeah, it sucks when your boss tells you to do something you think is miles beneath you because you're a pretty important beat cop -- maybe in another ten years you'll make sargeant -- and you have to swallow his load because, after all, he is your superior. that sucks. john always said 99% of his job was dealing with all your juvenile behavior, usually directed against your "brothers." only recourse was to dock your vacation time. sounds like a whole lotta sore assholes ... I mean losers out there.

Beat cops???? Yup, the most important guys on the police department and I think it is bs some chief would pull a "beat cop" to take care of such nonsense. Way to lose the respect of the guys beneath you. Remember: real respect is earned and not demanded bc you have gold on your uniform. Wasn't chief williams bitchin about not having enough guys on the streets recently??? Well, there's your answer!

How are beat cops important? They don't stop cars that run red lights: that's an epidemic in Utica. Same with cars that don't stop at stop signs; they get a free pass in Utica. They don't stop cars speeding up and down Genesee St. and the Arterial every day. They don't pull over drivers who are on their cell phones or who drive with their wipers on but headlights off: I see that all the time. Except for being dispatched to a call, I'm not sure why they patrol at all? I notice they run their air conditioning full blast in the summer. I hope you aren't seriously suggesting UPD officers are up to their neck in work patrolling this city? If you are, you'd better bring some serious statistics to your reply because at this point, deaf and blind people know the city is like the wild, wild West when it comes to law enforcement.

How he has single handedly destroyed that department. Has his friend "ron" on here trying to defend him.

You're saying I'm defending him, but you haven't quoted a single thing I've said as untrue. Hopefully, you're smart enough to draw the obvious conclusion. Argument takes a little more than second grade name calling.

if you want V&T, call the state police as they are experts in that field. UPD are up to their ears chasing real criminals.
