What connection do you have with the meat packing industry ?
That's where I got my first education - after school, weekends, summers, almost every idle moment - Hard work! The education? I learned the value of school. Some 40 years later, though I have always been blessed with solid, meaningful (and professional employment), the strong work ethic came from the long, hard hours of my youth working at the slaughterhouse. Retrospectively, though I have had stressful positions, I haven't worked nearly as hard since those teen years in the early 70s! Very valuable lessons, taught in what sadly seems a by gone era...

N'oubliez pas Durr packing.
Merci Monique!!! I forgot about Durr's!

Unfortunately, I must claim the boundaries of my French to be quite limited...
Grateful and appreciative to you however, that my pun was not lost!!!

Merci! Merci!

I have a direct past with many of those companies and their principals. Frankie is the only on of the families I have been able to locate. Wondering if any others are still around. You can click on my name if you want to private message me.

We probably know one another well! I was associated with Party Packing/Whitestown Packing from the mid 70s to the 80s when they closed...

Tried to private message you, didn't seem to work? I created a Topix ID, maybe you can private message me?

Enough with the sausage fest you guys. Jeez!

Next thing you know they'll start exchanging stories about their leather masks worn inside the 'slaughterhouses.'
