the deal fell through and now it is not coming. They had the land and everything but had problems with the town on NH and proper parking code.

You are half right. They did not have issues with the town. The location they staked out was a secondary location. They chose to wait for the primary.

Because it is predictable and boring just like the valley. Should be a perfect hit.

Great place...take a trip to Syr and see why. You almost always run in to people from the Utica area there and they always ask management when will we get one here. Hopefully it's finally coming. I can see why some are against it...some of you so called good italian restaurants will be out of business.

You fools would eat out of plastic bags, perfectly reheated by pimply faced teenaged "chefs". Enjoy your Olive Garden. I'll take Joey's or Sparagna's or Chesterfield's any day.

Some of you idiots treat it as if it's a crime to want an Olive Garden. How about we have it in addition to the alleged fine Italian restaurants here? Why not have the variety? Utica goes orgasmic for Nicky Doodles. 5 Guys is a big hit. What does that tell you? We're starving for more choices. There's been so little growth around here that Applebees becomes a big hit. We need to be like other metro areas and get more choices. Then if you want to be unimpressed with Bella Cucina, you have Olive Garden. If you want to go to a dump like Ventura's, by all means, enjoy it. But some of us like a variety, too. And I'd love to have an Olive Garden here.

And Outback Steakhouse uses frozen steak. So what? They're still good places to eat.

When it finally opens Cavallos, Babes, Carmela and the other so, so Italian restaurants had better pick up the pace or close up,. They just won't be able to compete.

McDonald's already are giving Cavallos, Babe's, and Carmela's a run for their money.
