Having worked at the Presbyterian Home, I would have to disagree with a majority of the negative comments on here. The staff at this nursing home are very dedicated and truly enjoy what they do on a daily basis. If you are that unhappy with the service that is being provided, then maybe relocating your family member would be in his/her best interest. I'm sure their long-term happiness would outweigh a short, difficult transition period.

It's the friends and family network...we hire you dump shit on you without training then fire you for being inadequate...NO this is not a disgruntled employee... this is reality due to management that are fossils and refuse to change. Carma is an amazing thing!

My Dad was there. The employees were kind and wonderful. It needs a little cosmetic work but the staff was great.

Amazing how people are delusional...but then again there is no reality to those that do not work here. Very easy to cast stones and say "leave if you are not happy" where else do you go? Work at the new fast food chains?? Management is poor actually sadistic and until you have worked there, keep your idiotic responses to yourselves please.

I am of the opinion that there are a few ladies that really run the place. If they said YES you are in and if they say NO you are out. They have been there a long time and need to move on or retire. The are not the administrator or CEO. They are employed just like everyone else there.

This statement is for the sole purpose of helping the next family member who is left to grieve over the death of their loved one. When you get the phone call that your loved one has passed, ask that person directly....how long do I have to remove my loved ones belongings. Of course we also have wonderful comments about the care given at the presbyterian home. But unfortunately, our last day experience was heart wrenching.

Just a suggestion to help with matters. In the rehabilitation department, at meal time, could you please try to seat men with men, and women with women. And better yet, could you please try to seat patients who just need rehab, for like a broken leg or arm etc... but can feed themselves and who can talk and carry on a conversation, could you seat them together. A lot of getting better is mental too, and it helps to be seated with someone who is in the same situation as you are.

The CNA/HHA program's leadership is a joke. The woman that runs this definitely has her favorites that she caters to. Also, the new hires make the same $$ as aides that have been there for years. The service is good, however the pay rate is horrible....

Well you can thank the HR Director..she is trying to make money and not spend any money at the risk of the residents and all else involved. It takes a month to hire or replace someone and she blames the background checks which is a simple fingerprint. Fingerprinting takes only 48-72 hours...I know as I work for a bank. I feel bad for those that work there....but have heard that there a lot of people leaving as management has become worse there.
