Still not sure where you come up with the fact that we're all poverty stricken. I'm sure you read my post about that in the Comets Are Screwed thread but chose to ignore it because you have no rebuttal.

There are plenty of successful people in CNY...

First, WTF about a "full slap shot"??? For a "PRO HOCKEY" fan, you're a f-ing idiot. And, "no fighting"? You're living proof of why the Comets won't succeed. Skip the games and tune into WWF. You'll save money and be a lot happier. You're not a hockey fan; you're a moron.(Oh, and they already won a game...)

Most Utica hockey fans are stuck in the "Slapshot" days, why do you think the Comets invited the Hanson Bros. for opening night. When it is said and done UC will outdraw the lowly Comets

what are you talking about??? slap shots are legal from like pee wee on up........ and they all wear face masks, kinda hard to fight unless you want them to all have broken hands....... i prefer ahl to uc, but uc still has its place.

ya the hanson thing didn't do anything for me, and uc will probably lead in average attendance, not total attendance. the difference is the college age kids, not the paying hockey fans. if you sell tickets cheap its not hard to fill the place. the comets have bills to pay, uc doesn't, the kids pay tuition and play for free. its a totally different game....

The area is poor. Median household income is under 30k. A small percentage maybe 5-8,000 have above average incomes. Places like New Hartford, Clinton and W'Boro have lost many professionals. In 2012 Oneida County had 110,000 (45% of population) people apply for social services. UC Hockey will pack the house and is more suitable for the local area. However, local AHL is an entirely different animal operating on a business model that's not attendance driven. Upsate NY offers a much more cost effective travel schedule for AHL. UC fan attendance will always outnumber AHL 2-1. This is the reality. If you purchased AHL tickets and are expecting big crowds and a social atmosphere you'll have to wait until Nano takes off. Yes UC won 5-2! Either way great hockey. Much like channels on a television.

I was at the UC game tonigh and there were at least 300 or more empty seats. Slobs think they get a deal with a $5.00 ticket then eat crap and buy beer and spend $30.00 more.

Well, I've attended both UC and Utica Comets games now. I have to say that the UC game was a much more enjoyable experience when you weigh up several factors.
Both teams play hard; both teams are skilled and seem well coached.
I found that the crowd was the big difference. UC crowd was younger, more engaged in the game, and gave off a livelier vibe. A lot more fun.

i disagree, i went to a uc game last year. place was pretty much dead, no noise except when a goal was scored. and the players all pretty much look the same with face masks. hard to identify who is who. comets games have been pretty lively except for one game. crowd gets into it and very loud and passionate. you can identify players as theres no face masks. and its a whole different level of talent and speed.

nice post, people need to understand that these two teams are run completely different. crowds for the comets will improve as cold weather sets in. did the same with stars, devils etc..... people are just busy and not in a hockey mood esp since they are winless. should be interesting, im gonna go to a uc game this coming weekend. my experience is i got 120 channels and theres still nothing good on, thats why i got season tickets for the comets.....

You can disagree all you like; you are just wrong.
Go to your comets games, get your fill of beer, live up to your 'wackedandjacked' handle; then go home and sleep it off.
Your posts all sound like you are on the Comets payroll, and you have no credibility.
