Only Uticas homeowners and taxpayers will again be told they are going to have to foot the bill for it's 15 million dollar sewer upgrade. Can you imagine even more foreclosures and people going on the welfare rolls as more residents decide to pack up. It's going to happen. They are going to the well and going after your empty wallets again!!!

Utica residents' sewer rates could increase by as much as 25 percent over the next two years as the city works to cover the cost of a $15 million sewer upgrade. Is that reasonable?

That's just the start. The total estimated cost of bringing Utica's sewer system up to modern standards is around $265 million dollars.

This is also to pay for pay raises to the public safety unions and for Fire Chief Brooks new Escalade which he is entitled to use 24/7..on or off duty. Any leftover funds will be used for new hires on the UFD.

You'd be better off dead than living in this town. OUTRAGEOUS TAXES compliments of prick PISSENTE and now this. Isn't it about time for another wave of immigrants that will suck even more money out of us. Make those filthy lazy adzes dig the ditches.

No wonder there are so many For Sale signs all around Utica.

Presently, only 30% of the residents in Utica are paying all these taxes (City, School & County) and the majority of them are Senior Citizens living on fixed incomes.

All these taxes are NOT worth what homeowners receive from what this City has to offer - high crime, high welfare costs, and the worst of all - corruption in our elected officials!

Ya know the city resident shouldn't be complaining about this kind of take hike... I mean honestly its the answer to what the city needs... Whoever is in charge of this project may be the best person there is for Utica...Because evidently he sees that the sewer system hasn't worked for the past 30+ years with all those pieces of crap floating around city hall, corn hill, west utica, the police department etc etc etc... Its a wonder that it even slightly works as it is now.... We all know the shit is pileing up in Utica.... Maybe this is the answer to the problems , fix the sewer system and flush all those pieces of shit out of the city....

It's not the sewers or the pieces of shit that needs to be flushed, it's the disease called spending and greed. It's like the clap and very hard to get rid of.

The pencil pushers at the E.P.A. wants all fire hydrants to be replaced in case someone drinks from one and gets alittle lead in their bellies. Come on now are they going insane. Senator Shuemer is trying to get this knocked out from passing. If that isn't knocked out imagine what that will cost us all.

I don't see what the ruckus is all about. Uticans think their pshit doesn't stink, so it's a goldmine for the city to tax! Who knew that flushing was worth big money in the city of Utica. The natives didn't name early settlers (Uticans)'the people of the water' for nothing, right?
