Werent they bought locally and currently being renovated one by one and made into what the city called "condo's" (I would call them apartments, not anything fancier).. Ive driven through there and some have been rebuilt and people are living in them. I thought people petitioned to have them made into low income housing and that didnt turn out. But Im pretty sure someone bought the property & is working on it, if not all then some.. Its alot of land and alot of homes, something should be able to be done with them rather than them just sitting there looking like crap. I remember them being very nice homes when we were younger, its such a waste to see them the way they are now..

I worked for the company thay renovated some of the houses. About 10 were made liveable the rest are still falling down. The ones we re did look really ni ce inside. The woman that owns them...yes she is from nyc, wants like 1000+ a month to rent the remodeled ones
