Why would Frank allow a brick oven pizza vendor on his land? What a slap in the face to Master Pizza. It brings down the brand that the neighborhood is trying hard to establish. Shows no class and greed. Shame on him at Utica Coffee Roaster.

For one its tacky. Number two a guy from Clinton just signed a lease to sell pizza where master was. It makes the neighborhood look like a circus. What's next cotton candy and sluchies? Thought Bagg Square was going upscale not ghetto.

Seriously, do you people have anything better to down your time. Frank and Heather run a classy establishment. The pizza vendor adds to the atmosphere and the commitment to our community. It's not tacky at all. Your comments are

Commitment to the community? If you like trailer trash vendor circus carts They did run a classy place. Past tense.

That's why this city will never progress. It's backwards thinking like that.
Greed greed greed. Only in Utica.

I thing they are tacky on Varick St. Guy like Lukins or Zenas open up all year and some guy comes down on their busy Thursday night to benefit. Its not a fair playing field. They don't pay property tax, mortgage or rent, national grid all year. More insurance. Pay roll tax all year, workers comp all year, and many other cost. Plus, it keeps people from investing in our buildings.
Maybe we should close all the restaurants and just have vendors.

First off, nice way to be neighborly, if you have a problem with Utica Coffee, tell them, don't come on to topix. Second, I work for Commercial Travelers, on Mondays there was never anyone serving food on our block for the past year. You move in June 1st and expect us all to know your open Mondays? Then come to topix to complain about it? You def lost my business.

Sadly it's not about playing games, it should be about communicating, which the NEW Master Pizza from CLINTON , knows nothing about.

The sheer insularity of Utica is always amazing. While food trucks and street carts are part of a food revolution in the rest of the country, Utica gets all a twitter at the thought. Because it's so important to protect a Yet Another Joint Selling Pizza and Wings.

I started the post and I'm not the guy from Clinton. I'm a customer of Bagg Square

The OD's food magazine, "Entree" just did an amazing photo shoot on those food trucks. Can't wait to see what they got. That pizza truck is amazing, clearly anyome who has eaten there knows it's far from tacky. The best part of Utica is it is growing. We're seeing a whole new wave of foodies and young business professionals-and getting the opportunity that other large cities get with gourmet food trucks and farmers markets popping up. It's great to see the community embrace it as that pizza truck sells out again and again. I can't find how URC would gain any profit by setting up a pizza truck, other than bringing in more of the young foodies striving for anything new. Between URC and the Tailor and the Cook the ambiance and city trend has awoken a lost part of our city. Master pizza, I would say not so much. Can't wait for new shops with new ideas to make Baggs Square their home and continue to help our city feed the need of pp looking to go to other areas, such as NYC, right here. To Jerk-you have to taste the pizza at the truck! You'll instantly become a fan. Cotton candy it is not-its a great delight for a pizza change up.

It would benefit them, because they could sell their beans to the truck outside... it would be their "drive-thru" window, while people who'd want to sit down and chill without having a lot of people coming in and out can go into the shop. It's a great way to get more product out the door!
Mutually beneficial. DUH.
Don't confuse the uticans with things like that. Lol?

ahhh, thankfully the starter of this thread, correctly dubbed himself "JERK" and obviously has nothing better to do, than JUDGE what others do. A local business, giving space for a DAY to another local business. and Circus like atmosphere? please....and when they had the car show down there, and had the pizza truck, and the mexicali truck down there, bringing life to that area, with the community coming together.. was that circus like? Or when they are at the Saturdays farmers market, having friendly conversations with all the customers...is that circus like? I find it very nice that they would share their space.. PS< where do they sell SLUCHIES?

Keep up the great work, Frank. The more bashing you get, the more you know you are doing something good. These jealous a-holes will never change!
