Lets post the salaries of all of the "not for profit" leader like King Louie Tehan, Bill Elitist Holicky, the woman from the ARC, Brenda Forhead Episcipo from the United Way and all of the others who don't pay taxes and getting outrageous salaries from our tax dollars.

That's your city now. Not for profits, refugees, cops, and firemen all battling for the same tax dollars. Enjoy.

I think all not for profits should fold and let everyone be their brother's keeper.

Tehan was over $335,000 total compensation in 2011. Go to guidestar.org to look them all up for yourself.

Not true -$232,748 were his actual 2011 earnings. Point well taken though, most/all of the executive team earns more than $100,000 easily. Not for Profit my butt. They should be paying property taxes if they can be paying their management so well.

New business model - start a not-for-profit and avoid taxes, it's the American way!!!

You're so right! This business model has been in effect in this area for at least the 30 years I've lived here. That's why the local community calendars are polluted with fund-raisers. Most generate "cash" that can't be tracked. ALL CASH! Government employees (who are probably union) work 8-4 weekdays and not on weekends; therefore, no oversight. Fundraisers are suppose to apply for a permit with the state but trust me...that doesn't happen. It's all a joke. If you want to earn extra cash that is non-taxable...have a fund raiser.

Yes, it is true according to the 990. You also have to include the $43k for compensation from related organizations and the 59k for other compensation (such as employer contributions to retirement accounts). I don't have the 990 in front of me right now, but I remember that it came to a little more than $335k.

They may have split their organization into two or three legal entities, but since they are under common control they are still essentially one organization. That is why the IRS requires them to include compensation from related organizations in the second column on the 990.
