<quoted text>Taxes harm the poor.

I mean especially property tax

It is difficult for poor to be able to pay both a mortgage & property tax at once.

Property tax raises the price on rents significantly!!!
Fact. The poor pay no federal tax and very little taxes otherwise.

Wow...I'll keep prolonging this because you are coming apart more and more with each desperate reply.
Let's take the first part of the TJ quote " "Another means of silently lessening the inequality of property..."
In modern speak that means "one way to decrease the gap between the rich and poor..." focus in on the words "means of silently lessening..."
Now what are the means of narrowing the gap between rich and poor "take from the rich but leave the poor alone."
I guess the leap you couldn't make is that once the money was taken from the rich people (remember the poor pay nothing) it was used to lessen the gap between the rich and the poor. So that money, through free or reduced services, or handouts etc...would be used to narrow the gap.
That is redistribution...PERIOD. Take from the rich, spend it on the poor, for the benefit of the poor.

You’re stretching... You are a leftist ideologue who so wants to prove something that isn’t there... Like Colmes who tries to claim Jesus a Liberal. The truth is He wasn’t and Thomas Jefferson had reasons fro progressive taxes but CLEARLY it wasn’t to “take from the rich and give it to the poor.”

Put it this way. Once TJ took money only from the rich...what do you supposed he did with it to lessen the gap between the rich and poor?
When did TJ “took money only from the rich”? I think you a penny shy of saving a nickel.

Did you read NOTHING of what I posted that Jefferson wrote? Cherry picking is a sad leftist tactic that is not only childish but very foolish.

Taxation isn’t the issue.

You don't address the language because you have been proven wrong. You just don't admit it because you are putting your pride before being right.

Your credibility score is currently ZERO.

Spend 6 months educating yourself then try again.

LOL!!! None of Jefferson’s LANGUAGE even comes close to,““take from the rich and give it to the poor.”
That said, you are the MOST wrong you’ve ever been on topix… Leftists are too emotional to argue facts, and the facts aren’t on your side.
You better find a new angle to tout your socialist ideals on Americans, because our founding fathers, like it or not were nowhere close to SOCIALISTS.

I don’t wish you luck.

Wrong, what you have posted is in regards to the barons of Europe and the feudal system where the poor did not have a right to property. While your argument is quasi scientific you are incorrect in your interpretation. Progressive taxation of the rich yes, to spend on the poor no. It was designed to be spent on leveling the playing field not handouts as we see today.

Name calling? What a surprise...
You a clearly a public school casualty and weren't taught history well. The founders wrote the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution with the intent of abolishing slavery. For you to deny that is to deny historical fact.

You write like a retarded person. Although some of the founders eg. Ben Franklin, were against slavery , The majority obviously didn't have enough problem with it to take a stand. And they all enjoyed raping ,abusing , and destroying humans for the rest of their lives. If abolition was implied somewhere in the constitution, then why did it take eighty years and a bloody civil war to get rid of it? Let's not forget the next hundred years of Jim Crow opression . You're living in a reeally stupid dream world Ditto head.

Call me any name you want or can but it doesn't change the fact.

All have liberty in America that comes from God but its slowly being eroded away with programs like public schools, OBAMACARE , the IRS and the NSA, and people like you who pull straw men out of you backside because you hate American values.

We don't hate America. We hate the idea of stupid people taking it over. BTW , do you really think Jesus would have approved of the founding fathers keeping slaves? Historically Jews have a rather dim view of slavery. Any thoughts ? Turn off your AM Radio nit whit generator and give it a shot

Then you should really hate our president. A man who set up highly paid czars to watch over different departments to help remove the liberties of the American people. He responded to national and world disasters two weeks after the fact, with exception of a few during his election cycle. He lied about Benghazi. His signature legislation, 2500 pages of Obamacare, passed by reconciliation, and now he is delaying the imposition for mid-term election cycle, AND breaking his very own law by EXEMPTING congress from obamcare. The president bought, owned and ran GM for 3 and a half years, sold Chrysler overseas and lost taxpayers billions of their hard earn income in the deals, and now Detroit is bankrupt.

“BTW , do you really think Jesus would have approved of the founding fathers keeping slaves?” No. Do you think Jesus approved of slavery as a world economic practice for thousands and thousands of years?

“Historically Jews have a rather dim view of slavery. Any thoughts ?” Sure, I have many thoughts, but this is 2013, and slavery has been abolished for 100 years in the US… Do you care to place context around your question?

You are a proud parrot for Limbaugh and Beck. Are you on here for the benefit of those poor souls who don't have the time to be glued to an A.M radio? I've heard those two clowns blather all the same nonsense many times. I always wondered who could possibly be ignorant enough to believe them. What a treat! To meet a real live Ditto Head. Fascinating! Do you have a large cache of armor piercing bullets? Do you believe that the earth is four thousand years old? Are you a result of incestuous breeding? These are just a few questions I have for those of your mouth breathing ilk. As for those founding fathers that you jack off to, some of them were quite incredible . And I have great regard for their accomplishments. But, it's hard to believe that they were divinely inspired individuals when they had human beings chained up in their barns for their financial gain and carnal pleasure. If you're a high school kid I can overlook your ignorance. If you're over thirty, you are an embarrassment to our fine country.

Really, the name calling doesn't change the facts.

Of the facts that I stated, do you have ANY evidence that shows otherwise? No... You don’t.

What school did you attend that makes you so ignorant of history?

Just so you know of the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention, 49% owned slaves. However, Robert Morris did not personally own slaves but did own a slave ship and invested in plantations using slaves. Some slave owners emancipated their slaves (Richard Bassett and John Dickinson). Other slave owners opposed slavery and supported abolition (Jacob Broom and William Samuel Johnson). Other slave owners opposed the slave trade if not slavery itself. Of the 26 slave-owners, 19 owned multiple slaves and relied on slave labor for their livelihood.

You should get out of public school now... They have done you a HUGE injustice. Either that or you are ignorant by choice... either is bad.

I understand history and you don’t is your point?

Again, calling me names doesn’t change any of the facts.

Let’s get real clear... This Country is the greatest Country in human history and it started with the Founding fathers. You can hate that all you want, but it doesn’t change what they did!

I find it very interesting the you ignored my question from my previous post... Do you think Jesus approved of slavery as a world economic practice for thousands and thousands of years?

Do you even believe in Jesus?

You said you didn’t hate America... But your words don’t express a love for America either... What’s your thought?

Be clear.
