Yeah, & it also says in Leviticus that no one shall eat crustaceans (shrimp, lobster, etc.) nor wear scarlet.

Gee, have you done that lately?

Let 90% of the population decide what's right for 10%. Civil rights are never to be voted on or African Americans would still be slaves. Our elected leaders should do the right thing and support same sex couples having the right to have a legally recognized relationship.
Unlike your decision to be gay. Your born African American.

Please, whoever you are -- pick up a book or two and do some reading. Educate yourself because you clearly need it. I hope your not nurturing children and if you are, I hope they are raised with the strength to think independently. Happy Holidays!

the problem is with these guys is that no ome has the balls to come forward and make a statement..both of these "good republicans"
tout one thing, and do another..it is a great cover...
I heard someone say "and he's so good with kids.."yikes. Seems to me, nothing wrong with gay unions..I could care less..but there is something wrong with a society full of closested bi or gay men, that practice one thing, and then disapprove publicly of the same thing they do ("doth protest too much")...through all my experiences...straight secure men NEVER bash gays..bible thumpers usually are hiding from something (usually themselves), and straight married women would freak out entirely if they knew seriously how much man sex men have had with other men...straight or gay or bi, a mans brain is below his waist...any man that doesn't agree is in denial, or lying.

Thanks for quoting Leviticus, my favorite!

Who else shouldn't people do?

Don't let cattle graze with other kinds of Cattle (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't have a variety of crops on the same field.(Leviticus 19:19)

Don't wear clothes made of more than one fabric (Leviticus 19:19)

Don't cut your hair nor shave.(Leviticus 19:27)

Any person who curseth his mother or father, must be killed.(Leviticus 20:9) Have you ever done that?

If a man cheats on his wife, or vise versa, both the man and the woman must die.(Leviticus 20:10). Oh no! The golf world loses a talent.

If a man sleeps with his father's wife... both him and his father's wife is to be put to death.(Leviticus 20:11)

If a man sleeps with his wife and her mother they are all to be burnt to death.(Leviticus 20:14)

If a man or woman has sex with an animal, both human and animal must be killed.(Leviticus 20:15-16). I guess you should kill the animal since they were willing participants. Are they crazy?

If a man has sex with a woman on her period, they are both to be "cut off from their people" (Leviticus 20:18)

Psychics, wizards, and so on are to be stoned to death.(Leviticus 20:27)

If a priest's daughter is a whore, she is to be burnt at the stake.(Leviticus 21:9)

People who have flat noses, or is blind or lame, cannot go to an altar of God (Leviticus 21:17-18)

Anyone who curses or blasphemes God, should be stoned to death by the community.(Leviticus 24:14-16)

One must wonder why there are so many people wanting to site Leviticus for gay bashing, but they never mention these rules. How strange. It is common that a Christian will blow off these old rules with "Jesus came to change the laws, so these are outmoded, and we don't need them", but throughout Leviticus God states that these laws are to be followed forever. Hmmm.

Thank you for quoting Leviticus, my favorite!
1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not to Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states that he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

6. A friend of mine feels that, even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there "degrees" of abomination?

7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them (Lev.24:10-16)? Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws (Lev. 20:14)?

Thank you, 13492USA! You quoted much more than I did. I hate it when people pick & choose Biblical passages to support their cause.
