Oh please..There is no talent involved with the decision of who will pitch. It's all politics and who knows who. If you are in good with the coach then you kid will probably either be in a perm position or pitch. Most of the time the kids that are chosen suck and cant throw the ball for sh&%! If the coach happens to be a players dad then forget about it they never sit out an inning. So glad I am all done with that!
I've always noticed the adults saying coral like this are parents of the kid on the team that only plays when their team is up a ton of runs or getting beat by a ton of runs..I see it happen at every town everywhere... Just because your kid comes home and says he's better doesn't mean he really is, and just because he made one good play when he was allowed in the game during a blow out or the new and stupid ( every kid has to play an inning rule) doesn't mean anything...This is a huge problem these days, people like you have coddled your kids, waited on them hand and foot, bought them every video game, went down to the school an raised hell when they got picked on or got their feelings hurt, treated your kid like a little fragile precious thing emotionally and physically, that you've created a pansy...... That's thinks he is great at every sport cause you told him he was and when he's not you make up excuses like this... Things like this are ruining or I should say ROTING our society... Mentalities like yours are eliminating the great things about being a part of a team and accepting roles being on that team.... I petty you and and any child you have because they haven't got a prayer..

look at last years little league all stars. If the correct kids were pitching, not the biggest whining baby in the league cause your part of the so called clique, you wouldn't have been knocked out so fast.

The wrong kid was pitching cause the coach and parent are locked like glue.

Ding. Ding. And Double Ding. I had to read it twice cause of the typos but I got it.And you sir/mamm have hit the nail so hard on the head something is going to break.LOL. I have a son that played little league and is now in high school. The parents squeaking and whining all the time about other parents being buddy Buddy with the coach so their kid plays more is bull.Chances are your kid is on the team just because they let him on the team so he wouldn't feel left out.I've yet to meet a coach that plays a kid because he's friends with the parents. You play your best players. I don't care where you say this is going on.Its bull to make you and your kid feel better.

I know 5 right now that I guarantee will make the team and don't deserve it at all, 5 at least. I know some parents who have an in, been talking to not necessarily the head coach but other coaches who will be at tryouts. I know one parent a mom coo that was absolutely going crazy cause she didn't know the head coach, was literally twitching. she couldn't get her suck up a$$ kissin time in. The kid sucks too.

I have seen where it matters who knows who, I have seen parents talk up their kids as this wonderful player that couldn't catch, throw or hit. Bottom line is reality, the more time spent with the kid, not just practice with the team, batting cages, instructional sessions and parents/older siblings that work with the kids are the true talents of the game. IF that time hasn't been put forth developing the kid chances are they are not going to be at the top of the list for playing/pitching/hitting. There are some kids that are good at about anything they try and there are those that need lots and lots of work to even get close to those ok levels. Reality checks are needed but seldom get used when it comes to evaluating the kids as a parent. Getting a kid to practice is kind of like showing up to a job and not doing anything when you get there and expecting a raise.

all these hitting lessons, fielding lessons, all that extra work is a waste of money. There is not ONE division 1 or div. 2 player in this area. You aren't going anywhere. Play up until LL, then pay attention to school
